Does your rapture theory matter? Some
say; “No” and even say that it is wrong for Christians to haggle over the
issue. However scripture tells us differently, in fact your rapture belief has
the possibility to be a life or death matter, and thus it is very important to
have a correct rapture belief.
First off let me assure you that there will
be a rapture, for some teach that there will be no rapture. The fact of the
rapture is clearly taught in scripture by verse and in principal and has been
taught by the church throughout the ages.
Then shall two be in the
field; the one shall be taken, and the other left Mt 24:40
What has been a relatively new addition
to the rapture doctrine is the pre tribulation rapture theory. In summarizing
the development of the pre-tribulation doctrine, H. L. Nigro says this:
The development of the pretribulation rapture is
generally attributed to John Darby of the Plymouth Brethren, who formalized the
theory around 1830. Prior to this time, the return of Christ was seen as a
singular event. Jesus would return to earth once, to rapture His Church, to
redeem lost Israel, and to judge the wicked and rebellious world, and this was
seen either as a midtribulational or posttribulational event. Darby was the
first to formally theorize that Jesus would return in two stages: first in
spiritual form to rapture the Church, then in bodily form seven years later to
judge the world. This allowed Jesus to return triumphantly at Armageddon while
keeping the Church out of the 70th Week.. The Coming
Epiphany, Chapter 5.
Now back to the original question; does
your rapture theory matter? Yes it does and here is why it matters. If you
believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and you are wrong then you will be
unprepared for the events that directly precede and follow the rising of the
antichrist—namely Seals 1-5.
Seal
1: Conquering world power
Seal
2: WW3
Seal
3: World financial collapse
Seal
4: Death; 1 out of 4 will die
Seal
5: war against Jews and Christians
Being unprepared for those events could
lead to great suffering and even death. Thus your rapture theory matters—it can
be a matter of life or death.
So which rapture theory is correct? God
has clearly shown us. Let’s start by examining the verses below that give us a
name for the event in which the rapture will occur.
15 For this we say unto you by
the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the
Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one
another with these words.
1 But of the times and the
seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know
perfectly that the day of the Lord
so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thes
4:15-5:2
Notice in the verses above that the
rapture is described as the event in which we will be caught up into the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air. Then in verse two God gives a name to the catching
away/rapture event. God calls it the Day
of the Lord. Here is another passage that clearly shows this.
1 Now we beseech you,
brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together
unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken
in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from
us, as that the day of Christ is at
hand. 2 Thes 2:1,2
Verse one clearly describes the
rapture—our gathering together unto Him—and then in verse two we are given a
name for when this event will occur—the
Day of Christ. The phrases the Day of the Lord and the Day of Christ use
the same Greek words and are synonymous.
Thus God clearly and succinctly tells us
that the rapture occurs at the Day of the Lord event. God also clearly tells us
when the day of the Lord/rapture event occurs.
The sun shall be turned into
darkness, and the moon into blood, before
the great and notable day of the Lord come:
Acts 2:20
Plain and simple; the rapture/Day of the
Lord event occurs after the moon is turned to blood. And when is the moon
turned to blood?
And I beheld when he had opened
the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black
as sackcloth of hair, and the moon
became as blood; Rev 6:12
Putting
it all together; the rapture occurs during the Day of the Lord, the Day of the
Lord occurs after the moon is turned to blood, the moon is turned to blood
after Seal 6 is opened, therefore the rapture occurs after the opening of Seal
6. Here is the order; Seal 6—moon to blood—the Day of the Lord/rapture.
Now for a conformation; notice what
people say after Seal 6 is opened and ask yourself why?
13 And the stars of heaven
fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is
shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as
a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved
out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth,
and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty
men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in
the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains
and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from
the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his
wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The people of the earth say; hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne. Why
do they say that? They say that because they have just seen Jesus appear in the
sky at the Day of the Lord rapture event!
You have been clearly shown when the
rapture will occur. Why will you still not believe and prepare? Remember your
belief in this case has the potential to be a life or death decision. The
sudden destruction of the Seals are coming, you need to prepare.
3 For when they shall say,
Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a
woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of
light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep,
as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thes 5

I found that in fact 1/15/2016 (attack on Burkina Faso) was 8/4 (Independance Day of Burkina Faso).
ReplyDeleteSo next 2/4 = 8/24
8/24/1814: fire on the White House;
8/24/2015: fires in Washington's state
I think a big event will occur this 2/4/16 (Washington/White House)
Thanks for the info, those are interesting synchronicities
Delete2 Kings 2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
Delete10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
Would this be considered being rapture?
Our understanding is very limited by time. Being inside of time doesn't allow us the vantage of eternity.
Going back to what the Word reveals about what causes the manifestation of blessing or judgement it has to do with an amount of evil piled up. As the Holy Spirit is withdrawn, are we not seeing the true nature of man coming to the surface?
This quest of man to discover the "secrets" of the universe has brought him to the device hadron collider it has been no secret that it is looking for a portal. Into what I ask. While men seek answers, the devil seeks entry.

Rapture
ReplyDeleteRevelation - Chapter 3 Verse 10, says:
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.
From The Coming Epiphany Chapter 4
DeleteWhat About Revelation 3:10?
Some pre-trib adherents make further claims, citing Revelation 3:10 as evidence that God will not only keep the Christian from His wrath, but will also keep them from the hour of temptation—that is, the entire 70th Week: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” However, a careful examination of the Greek used in this passage actually shows that the passage supports the view that believes that the rapture will occur at the sixth seal.
Robert Van Kampen, in The Rapture Question Answered Plain & Simple, has made a thorough analysis of this verse. Let us examine a few excerpts from that section.
When the underlying Greek text is studied carefully, comparing Scripture with Scripture, we will discover that the “hour of testing” refers specifically to that time associated with antichrist’s persecution. . . . More importantly we will see that the Greek words underlying our English translations argue that this terrible time of testing cannot be the wrath of God, but must be the wrath of satan. . . . If the Greek word peirasmos, as used in the Revelation 3:10 passage, is compared to its use in other New Testament passages, we will see that the “hour of testing” cannot refer to the wrath of God but, quite the opposite, to the wrath of satan. . . . They all say the same thing: satan is the source of all peirazo, not God. Like the logical argument, the biblical argument from scripture demonstrates that the “hour of testing” in Rev. 3:10 cannot refer to the wrath of God but, by definition, must be the wrath of satan.[1]
Another phrase in Revelation 3:10 that we need to consider is “will keep thee from.” The Greek phrase used here is tereo ek. Van Kampen has this to say about that phrase:
Tereo ek, is used in conjunction, can only refer to guarding or protecting those who persevere while they are within the sphere of danger, and then bringing them safely out from the midst of that danger. Thus the meaning of the text is clear. Tereo ek should be translated, “a watchful protection within the sphere of danger, with a safe deliverance out from the midst of it.[2]
Combining the analysis of the Greek into a translation of Revelation 3:10 yields a rendering that shows that the Christian will not be spared from the great tribulation, but will be rescued out of it:
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will rescue you out of the midst of the hour of satan’s temptation, the great tribulation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
So the analysis of the Greek in Revelation 3:10 does not support a pre-trib view, but supports a pre-wrath view of the rapture.
I think I have an idea where the pre-trib rapture theory came from, and how it got so popular. I believe that it actually came from a misconception about the tribulation and wrath, one that I actually do not have disproval of..
ReplyDeleteBasically, I, and probably those who came up with the original pre-trib theory, did not find any evidence to suggest that the tribulation, or fifth seal, is in fact the ruling of the Antichrist at all. The original theory likely took that into account, and considered the tribulation and the rule of the Antichrist two separate time periods, with the fifth seal being just persecution, the sixth being the rapture, and the rule of the Antichrist actually taking place after the trumpets, and not at the fifth seal. However, this surely cannot be the case. If only I could disprove that..
Why would one say that this rule happened after the trumpets? Simple! Trumpet 7 was blown at Rev. 9, and the rule of the Antichrist happened at Rev. 13. (The bowls of wrath would not be poured until Rev. 16). This simple misconception surely would be believable to many, as the trumpets are not directly referred to as "The wrath of God", thus dismissing that verse being against this. After which, it slowly spiraled further and further from the truth. This original pre-trib theory, of course, doesn't refer to the rule of the Antichrist as tribulation at all, so it'd be better off called the pre-beast rapture theory, referring to the first and second beasts of Rev. 13.
Now, as I said before, I cannot find proof that the rule of the Antichrist is in fact the tribulation that Matthew 24/Mark 13/Revelation 7 is talking about, but I do have something to say about this theory..
"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God."-Rev 15:2
"that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name"
Seriously? That PROVES that we WILL have to go through the time of the Antichrist. How could the saints have gotten victory over these things, which mind you, are a part of the RULE OF THE ANTICHRIST, if they were never there to start with? It just doesn't work out. So, there we have it. A ONE-VERSE PROOF that we will live through the rule of the Antichrist.
Hi, William ... Got to let you know I have changed my mind after several years of study ... finally see chronology of Revelation ... Ch. 4 is picture of 24 "elders" = mature well-grounded 5 virgins with plenty of oil (Holy Spirit via the Word of God)raptured church ... evident by crowns and white raiment ... representing Saints from 12 tribes + spiritual fruit from foundation of 12 disciples ...(O.T. + N.T.)... "Great Tribulation" is really "Time of Jacob's Trouble" ... focusing on Israel after rapture of Church ... Church not mentioned at all after chapter 4 because it has already been raptured. Also just found much verification at Informed Christian YT channel ... Hope you will take another look and will see that it is going to happen waaaay sooner than most people think ... time NOW to be ready. Kind Regards, Kay
ReplyDeleteAnd round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
DeleteJust 24 elders, no mention of raptured saints, they are not seen till Rev 7
