The Prophetic Significance of the Feasts of the Lord

Have you ever heard of the feast of Passover and its prophetic connection to the death of Jesus as the spotless Lamb of God? I am sure that you have. Did you know there are 6 other feasts of the Lord, and just as the feast of Passover had prophetic significance, so I believe the other feasts do also. 

In fact I believe that the spring feasts aligned with and were fulfilled by major prophetic events at the First Coming of the Lord Jesus and thus I believe the fall feasts will align with and will be fulfilled by major prophetic events involving the 70^th Week and Second Coming of the Lord. 

Therefore to help us establish a chronology of the 70th week we need take a more in depth look at the feasts of the Lord and their prophetic significance and implications. We will first examine the meaning of the word feast, which alludes to their significance. 

The Hebrew word translated ‘feasts’ means appointed times. The idea is that the sequence and timing of each of these feasts have been carefully orchestrated by God himself. Each is part of a comprehensive whole. Collectively, they tell a story. These feasts are also called ‘holy convocations’; that is they are intended to be times of meeting between God and man for ‘holy purposes.’^[1] 

God instituted seven yearly feasts for the Israelites to observe. There were four spring feasts and three fall feasts. The feasts, in calendar order with their associated Hebrew dates, are:

 

Spring Feasts (March to June) 

1. The Feast of Passover—14 Nisan

2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread. 15 – 21—Nisan

3. The Feast of First Fruits—16 Nisan

4. The Feast of Weeks—50 days after first fruits.

 

Fall Feasts (September to October) 

5. The Feast of Trumpets—1,2 Tishri

6. The Day of Atonement—10 Tishri

7. The Feast of Tabernacles—15 – 21 Tishri

 

Not only are these feasts significant from a relationship standpoint between God and man, but they also have prophetic implications: 

These seven feasts typify the sequence, timing, and significance of the major events of the Lord’s redemptive career. They commence at Calvary where Jesus voluntarily gave Himself for the sins of the world (Passover), and climax at the establishment of the messianic Kingdom at the Messiah’s Second Coming...^[2] 

Paul alluded to this prophetic connection in Colossians 2:16,17 when he said. 

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 

Let’s expound upon this thought and see exactly how each feast points to a prophetic event. Without going into too much detail, we will summarize the prophetic implication of each feast. For a more thorough understanding of the feasts of the Lord, I would recommend Kevin Howard and Marvin Rosenthal’s excellent book The Feasts of the Lord. 

1. The Feast of Passover points to Christ as the spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, and was fulfilled when Christ died on the cross for our sins on Passover on Friday Nisan 14, 33 A.D. 

2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread shows that Christ’s sinless body would not undergo decay, and was fulfilled when Christ’s body did not decay while in the grave. 

3. The Feast of First Fruits shows that Christ had power over death and was the first fruit of the resurrection and was fulfilled when Christ rose from the dead on the day of the feast of first fruits on Sunday Nisan 16, 33 A.D. 

4. The Feast of Weeks alludes to the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the initiation of the historical church period and was fulfilled on Pentecost on Sivan 6, 33 A.D. 

It is clearly evident that the first four feasts were fulfilled at the time of Christ’s First Coming and thus we can reason that the last 3 feasts will be fulfilled in events surrounding Christ’s Second Coming. Let’s examine the three remaining feasts, which occur in the fall, and see how they may be fulfilled. 

The fifth feast, the Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah, is practiced as a two-day feast. 

Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה‎, literally "head [of] the year") is the Jewish New Year. The Biblical name for this holiday is called Yom Teruah (Hebrew: יום תרועה‎, literally "day [of] shouting/raising a noise") or the Feast of Trumpets… It is the first of the High Holy Days or Yamim Nora'im ("Days of Awe")…Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration, which begins on the first day of Tishrei.^[3] 

I believe that since it is a two-day feast that it may have two separate and different fulfillments, one on the first day and one on the second.  One of the events I believe this feast may align with, though I am not dogmatic about this, is the rapture. The trump that is referred to at Christ’s coming to the clouds at the rapture may be a reference to the trumpet blown at this feast. 

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matt. 24:30–31) 

The shofar blown on Rosh Hashanah is known as the last trump, which the apostle Paul mentioned in I Thes 4:16-17 and I Cor 15:52 in connection with the rapture. 

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

This last trump of God will signal the beginning of the Day of the Lord in which the righteous will be delivered and the wicked will be judged. In fact, ancient Jewish tradition held that the resurrection of the righteous dead would occur on Rosh Hashanah with the blowing of the shofar (trumpet), which is why a shofar was engraved on Jewish gravestones. These two major occurrences signaled by the blowing of the trumpet are consistent with the historical use of the trumpet in Israel as explained by Marvin Rosenthal: 

The blowing of the trumpet in ancient Israel had two primary functions. The first was to call a solemn assembly; that is, when the children of Israel were to be summoned to God’s presence, the trumpet was blown (Ex 19:13,17,19; Num 10:2). And second, when Israel, under divine direction, was to go to war, the trumpet was to be blown (Num 10:9; Jud 7; Jer. 4:19-21).^[4] 

Kevin Howard has this to say about the judgment aspect of the Feast of Trumpets 

Rosh Hashanah was often referred to as Yom Ha-Din (“Judgment Day”) by rabbis since it began the Days of Awe, the traditional time of God’s judgment.^[5] 

The prophet Zechariah tells of the judgment that will transpire when the trumpet is blown: “And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south” (Zech 9:14). The benediction given for the last 2,000 years during synagogue services on Rosh Hashanah also speaks of the trumpet being blown at Rosh Hashanah at the Lord’s return, as explained by Kevin Howard: 

The benediction also speaks of the end of days when God will again reveal Himself through fire and the sounding of the shofar as He sends the Messiah: ‘The Lord shall appear over them; his arrow shall go forth like lightning. The Lord shall sound the shofar and march amid the storms of the south. (cf Zech 9:14)^[6] 

Another interesting fact about the Feast of Trumpets that correlates it to the rapture is that, in the ancient observance of the feast, no one knew the exact start of the feast. It always started on the first day of the Jewish year, which is the first day of the month of Tishri, but no one knew the exact day when a Hebrew month started. 

The Hebrew months start by the sighting of the new moon, and it was the job of the Sanhedrin to announce the beginning of the month when the new moon was observed. Of course, one could calculate an approximate time by counting 29.5 days since the last new moon, but it did not officially start until the Sanhedrin observed the crescent moon, and then declared it so. 

This correlates beautifully with the truth that no one knows the exact time of Christ’s return. Some even feel that Christ’s own words, “No one knows the day or hour” is a direct reference to this feast for this reason. In Jewish tradition Rosh Hashanah is also known as Kiddushin/Nesu'in or the wedding ceremony of the Messiah.^[7] 

In fact the practices involving the ancient Jewish wedding ceremony closely parallel the Messiah’s redemptive work. Pointing to the fact that the bridegroom/Christ will come for his bride—the church—at the rapture.^[8] Thus these facts are a strong indication that this feast may be fulfilled at the rapture and also since it has aspects of judgment, possibly at another event, namely Armageddon. 

Thus in conclusion; in regards to the prophetic significance of the 2 day feast of Rosh Hashanah. Since the feast involves aspects of deliverance and judgment and has rapture associations. I believe it is possible that this feast may align with the rapture of some unknown year, and the return of Jesus to the earth at Armageddon. 

The Feast of Trumpets also starts the time period known as the Days of Awe. The Days of Awe are a 10-day period between Rosh Hashanah and the Day of Atonement in which observant Jews are to engage in a solemn time of self-examination. Tradition holds that these days are the last chance to repent before God’s judgment is finalized.^[9] 

Prophetically, I believe these days may be fulfilled when after the last trumpet of the Feast of Trumpets, which calls for a solemn assembly; Israel will assemble for seven days and will receive Christ as their savior on the eighth day, which will be the Day of Atonement. This may happen directly after the rapture when Israel and all the world see Jesus in the sky. 

Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is the most solemn and important holy day of the Jewish calendar. In the Old Testament, the Day of Atonement was the day the High Priest made an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the people. This act of atonement brought reconciliation between the people and God.^[10] 

I believe this feast will align with the time after Israel repents and officially recognizes Christ as Messiah and will be saved. And when will this occur? Most likely after Israel flees into the wilderness after the abomination of desolation and after the rapture. 

The final feast is the Feast of Tabernacles and is associated with Israel’s time in the wilderness. 

Sukkot, Succot or Sukkos, Feast of Booths, Feast of Tabernacles is a week-long biblical Jewish holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the month of Tishrei… The sukkah is intended as a reminiscence of the type of fragile dwellings in which the Israelites dwelt during their 40 years of travel in the desert after the Exodus from slavery in Egypt. ^[11] 

I believe this feast will align with the time when Israel will once again find themselves in the wilderness after fleeing the antichrist. And once again God will watch over and provide for them for 3.5 years.

 

Putting It All Together 

I view the prophetic implications of the fall feasts as follows: 

1. The Feast of Trumpets is practiced as a two-day feast that alludes to the return of Christ during the event known as “The Day of the Lord” in which the righteous will be raptured and the wicked will be judged. I believe this feast will start to be fulfilled at the beginning of the Day of the Lord when Christ comes to the clouds for His bride and will be totally fulfilled after God’s enemies will be vanquished at the battle of Armageddon and Jesus takes His throne in Jerusalem. 

Note: I am not dogmatic about the rapture aligning with Rosh Hashanah—I see other possibilities such as Pentecost, the day of Ascension, or at no feast at all. 

2. The Day of Atonement speaks of the shed blood of Christ and the substitutionary work it accomplishes in covering our sins and restoring us to fellowship with God. This feast will be fulfilled after Israel repents and recognizes Christ as Messiah and are saved on the Day of Atonement. 

3. The Feast of Tabernacles is a seven-day celebration in which the Israelites dwell in “booths” or shacks reminiscent of their journeying in the wilderness. This feast will be fulfilled when Israel will once again find themselves in the wilderness after they flee the antichrist after the abomination of desolation where God will protect and provide for them for 3.5 years. This feast may also align with the beginning of the Millennium in which God will dwell with man which starts with the marriage supper of the lamb. 

In summary this is the way I see it happening; 

Feast of Trumpets (1^st day): Rapture. 

Feast of Trumpets (2^nd day, years later): Armageddon.

Day of Atonement: Ethnic Israel will recognize Christ as Messiah and be saved. 

Feast of Tabernacles: Israel in the wilderness/beginning of the Millennium. 

I am certain that the fall feasts will have prophetic significance, whether or not I have all the details and nuances correct, I do not know. As the scriptures say, we see through a glass darkly. One thing is for sure, it is going to be fascinating to see how all this works out.

The Red Heifer and the Two Messiahs

 

A couple of interesting stories with great prophetic significance popped up this week. They deal with the red heifer and the two messiahs. (HT The Big the One) 

The Red Heifer: 

Rabbi Burstein announced: red cow soon

rabbi Menachem Burshtein on the eve of the cow affair: "in about six months, we have a red cow ready and summoned for the work of the temple."

As most of you are probably aware the ashes of a red heifer are required for the dedication of the coming third Temple. So this development regarding the red heifer, if true, paves way for the dedication of the third Temple. 

Those who have studied their Bible know that the antichrist will perform the abomination of desolation in the Temple near the middle of the last 7 years, after which he will become the ruler of the world. 

The Two Messiahs: 

Two messiahs??? This is a new one on me, maybe I heard about it before but forgot. Here are the details. 

What does the Russian invasion of Ukraine have to do with the Messiah? Everything, according to one rabbi who studied the Talmud’s prophecy. Rabbi Yehuda Richter of Kfar Tappuach revealed in a recent lecture entitled ‘Emergency Broadcast: Russia, Ukraine, Armageddon, Bringing the Redemption’ that in the Talmud, a little-known prophesy touches on how wars in “the seventh year” are a sign of the End-of-days and a harbinger of the Messiah’s arrival… 

The rabbi explains that the Nation of Israel will experience redemption in the seventh year – or the Sabbatical year, which we are in right now. 

The rabbi then explains that when the wars end in the seventh year, the Messiah, a descendant of David, arrives in the eighth year (September 2022-September 2023) 

“It says that in the seventh year, there are wars, and that represents the beginning of redemption, and then the messiah comes. At the at the eve of the seventh year, so most of the commentaries say that there’s of course two messiahs. There’s the messiah, the son of joseph who fights the battles – who’s the physical side of the redemption of the Jewish people and that happens during the seventh year – wars, etc. And then after the seventh year is over the beginning of the eighth year, that is the Messiah of David.”

This is quite an interesting concept—a fighting messiah, the son of Joseph and a redeeming/ruling messiah of David. We know in the end times that the antichrist false messiah will rule the world and will be claimed to be from the lineage of David. Could the son of Joseph messiah be the false prophet? 

Now let’s consider his date parameters; I have heard of statements by Rabbi’s in the past that have not come true, so just because he says it does not mean that it will happen, but it also does not mean that it won’t happen the way he says—time will tell. 

Remember the Talmud is a set of Jewish writings and is not the inspired Word of God. 

The word “Talmud” is a Hebrew word meaning “learning, instruction.” The Talmud is a central text of mainstream Judaism and consists primarily of discussions and commentary on Jewish history, law (especially its practical application to life), customs and culture.

So, what are we to make of all of this? Are we on the verge of seeing the third Temple built and dedicated with the ashes of a red heifer? Will there be two messiahs and if so are these false messiahs near to appearing on the scene? As always time will tell but this is something to definitely keep an eye on, but if what they are saying will come to pass then it has major prophetic implications.

Wake Up and Smell the Gold; Updated

 

In the history of the world the most common form of money has been precious metals, with the three most common being gold, silver, and copper. In the more recent history of the world nations have used paper money backed by precious metals. And in the last few decades countries have used paper monies backed by various other things or nothing, which some have termed as fiat money. 

So, what if a country in our present-day fiat monetary system decides to back their currency with gold again, what do you think would happen to other currencies and the USD world reserve currency that are not backed by precious metals? I dare say that other currencies would lose their value and also nations would begin dumping the world’s reserve currency in favor of obtaining the currency backed by gold. 

Well, guess what? Russia has just backed its currency to gold. 

UPDATED 10:39 AM EDT -- It's Official! Russia Central bank Announces Ruble Bound to Gold! 5000 Rubles per Gram 

As Hal explains you can now buy an ounce of gold in rubles for about $1600 USD equivalent. In USD an ounce of gold costs about $1928. So, what would you use to buy gold, Rubles or USD? 

And on top of that beginning on 3/31/22 they are selling oil and gas in Rubles/gold/BTC only. So, what does all of this mean? Check this out.

I don’t think everyone has yet caught the significance of Russia announcing they are putting a floor under the price of gold.  

But, to be clear, Russia just broke the paper gold suppression scheme… 

As I talked about in previous articles, this sets up the opportunity to end the suppression of the price of gold through rehypothecation of physical gold in the paper markets which is the basis for the entire financial colonization system I described above. 

FYI, this same scenario is going to play out in Bitcoin now that Russia has said ‘friendly countries’ can pay for imports with Bitcoin.  Has anyone noticed the current rally in the World’s Most Hated Cryptocurrency? 

We now have a full gold/bitcoin/ruble (and soon Yuan) interconversion system that completely and utterly cuts out Davos and destroys their colonial debt model while also taking away their power to crash economies through hot money in and out flows… 

I agree, China will probably join in and back their currency with Gold too. I can see this crashing the dollar and other currencies and then the USA will probably have to come out with a new USA currency backed by precious metals and hopefully not from the Federal Reserve but from the USA Treasury, hopefully it will not be digital.

I am not a financial guru, and I could be wrong, and none of this is to be taken as financial advice, but to me it appears that the fiat money systems of the world are about to crash, precious metals will once again return to their historical use, and thus precious metals will subsequently rise in value.

Aliens are Demonic Beings and They Are Here

 

 

I have been telling people this since the 80s, that aliens are demonic beings. Many have scoffed at my assertions, including Christians. It is nice to hear somebody saying the same thing.

A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

 

I was asked to preach a message at a local Christian MS/HS chapel service. Below is the outline/framework/idea trail of the message.

Beginning of message

I am sure that you have all heard the phrase “a wolf in sheep’s clothing before, right? Who can tell me what that means? 

My Def: something that looks good on the outside but what is on the inside will hurt you. 

Let me show you a real wolf in sheep’s clothing. This animal that looks like a sheep is named Shelly and on the inside she is a fearsome wolf—squirrels, rabbits, and doves flee at the very sight of her. 

Ok let her loose! (dog in sheep’s clothing) 

So, that was a little demonstration of what a wolf in sheep’s clothing can do, looks harmless on the outside but underneath the disguise lurks an evil attacker. 

In life we will encounter many “wolves in sheep’s clothing;” that is things that appear good on the outside but on the inside, they are dangerous and have the potential to destroy you.

 

Music

 

Did you know that the music you listen to is one of the biggest influences in your life? It can affect your attitudes, your moods, your personality, and spirituality.

Did you know that the vast majority of secular music is authored by the devil. That is right, the majority of modern day secular musicians have sold their soul to the devil and in return the devil gives them catchy tunes, fame and fortune. Let me give you an example; you have heard of Bebopce (Beyonce) right? Do you know that she has admitted publically that when she performs a spirit enters her body and takes over her body. 

When a spirit comes into someone’s body and takes over, what do they call that in the Bible? Demon possession. 

So, why would a Christian want to listen to something authored by the devil. 

Ever hear of the song hotel California—that is a song about the satan church in San Francisco 

Ever hear of the song stairway to heaven—that is about a person’s quest to become a satanic high priest. 

And how about the song highway to hell 

Not only do many of the songs come from the devil but those songs can also hurt you. 

“The Guiding Spirits of Crowley made it quite clear to him that, soon after his death, the world was going to enter the final stage of preparing the hearts and minds of the people to accept the Black Magick attitudes and values of Antichrist. Crowley was told that a very special kind of music was to prepare the hearts and minds of the people for Antichrist. Rock-n-Roll was that music.” 

"My true belief about Rock ‘n’ Roll--and there have been a lot of phrases attributed to me over the years--is this: I believe this kind of music is demonic. ... I believe that kind of music is driving people from Christ. It is contagious" Little Richard 

“When I was about seven, I became involved in a satanic coven.... I was involved quite heavily in satanic worship for seven years in three different covens.... Satanic worship services are designed to put the worshipers into a mood where spirits can be called to manifest themselves during the service. They always use live music, and the music always has a beat. 

They start with a drummer. The rest of the instruments are geared to the drumming. These people practiced many, many hours for every service we had. It was rock music with a rock beat. We were told that the reason they used the rock beat was because it’s the same beat as your heart. 

Subconsciously, while you listened to the music, it would open you up. People weren’t aware that they were opening up to spirits, because they were concentrating on the music. The music is a great part of the service because it opens you up to spirits without you being aware of it. This music prepared everyone to open themselves up to the forces of darkness.

 

Solution: Stay away from rock and rap music it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and listen to godly melodious music. 

Ephesians 5:19 

19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

 

Video games; another wolf in sheep’s clothing are V games

 

Now I am not talking about basketball, football, baseball, or animal crossing or games like that but there are some video games that can hurt you, like ones that teach you to kill and steal and do demonic spells. 

Do you know that when you play a game where you kill someone that you actually mentally practicing killing people. We have online math and what we do is practice math problems online which makes you good at doing math. So when you participate in violent vid games, it then you are mentally practicing violence which will tend to cause you to be more violent. 

Do you know that a lot of the school shooters practiced killing on video games and they became so used to it that they did it for real. 

There are also vid games where you engage in casting spells, casting spells is demonic, so why would a Christian want to practice demonic activities 

Solution: don’t turn yourself into a killer or participate in witchcraft. If you are going to play a vid game make sure it is a good one. Good question to ask; would Jesus play this game?

 

Drugs

 

Drugs are bad they are addictive and they have the power to destroy your life. Most of the people in jail have a drug connection, most of the crime in our world is drug related, most of the child abuse is drug related. Drugs are a curse upon our society and are one of the most destructive forces in our world.

Alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, cocaine, the list goes on and on they all have the potential to destroy your life. Sometime in your life someone is probably going to try to get you to take drugs. They will make it look like it is so cool, but it is a death trap. 

Here is what drugs will do to you.

 

 

How does it start, for a person to end up there? It might go something like this, first it is 

Cigarettes

alcohol

Marijuana

Cocaine

Heroin 

Solution: stay far far away from drugs. If you have a friend doing drugs, counsel him to get help and if he refuses then you need to part ways. 

As God says; Evil company corrupts good morals

 

Movies/TV/Books

 

When you go to church you hopefully hear good preaching from the Word of God. Where does the devil do his preaching? Movies/TV, and books… 

What does he preach, that authorities are bad, that Christians are hypocrites, that it is cool to drink, smoke, do drugs, that it is ok to do sinful things. He glamorizes sin and makes it look good and he makes those who are good look bad. 

Now I am not going to sit here and analyze every book and movie for you and say this one is bad and this one is good. You need to use discernment; will this help me be a better person, does it make sin look good, does it tear down authority, does it promote worldly ideas, would Jesus read this book or watch this movie? 

Solution; realize that what you watch and listen to will effect you, do not watch stuff or read books that promote evil ideologies—they will effect you and turn a persons heart from God to the world

 

People

 

Some people that you know might be a wolf in sheeps clothing. They may be very nice and treat you in ways that make you feel good and make you feel important. But their goal is to involve you in sin. There may even be someone in this room that is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. 

Take Solomon for example; the wisest man in the world, he married idol worshipers and they turned his heart away from God and into sin where Solomon allowed idol worship to be practiced in Israel and even himself participated in it. 

Solution: be very careful who you hang around with, who you text, email, befriend on the net. You must realize that there are predators out there. 

As the Bible says evil company corrupts good morals

 

Pornography

 

The internet is filled with pornography, it is another wolf in sheep’s clothing and has the potential to destroy you. Many lives have been destroyed by pornography. It is an evil poison. 

Solution: never view porn, flee from it, in the Bible it comes under the term of fornication. 

Pornography would be included under the term of fornication, and listen to what God says about that. 

1 Corinthians 6:18

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

 

False religions

 

There are a lot of religions out there all telling people a different way to reach God. Jehovah’s witnesses, Mormons, Catholic, Presbyterian, Hindu, Buddhists, spirit and ancestor worship, etc 

All these different religions teach a way to get to God and all are wolves in sheep’s clothing except one. How do we know what is the right religion. All the false religions have a  few things in common; they are man’s attempt to reach God, and according to them you have to do certain works to be able to make it heaven and they all fall short because man can never reach God on His own. 

The one true religion is God reaching down to man—Christianity. 

Jesus is God reaching down to man and showing us the way to reach Him and He proved He was God when He rose from the dead. All the other religious leaders are still in their graves. 

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

 

Ourselves

 

Did you know that you can deceive yourself into believing a lie. And that believing a lie can destroy your life and even cause you to end up in hell forever. 

I have met plenty of people who believe that they in themselves are good enough to get to heaven on their own. They say to themselves I don’t lie I don’t steal I don’t hurt others so I am a good person so since my good outweighs my bad I will make it to heaven. Well guess what, hell is filled with people like that. 

There are other people that think that once you die there is nothing after that, you just go to sleep, so they say let me just live life to the fullest, there are no rules I will do whatever makes me feel good, hell is filled with people like that too.

Hell is filled with people who are deceived and believe lies 

You must realize that there is only one way to heaven. 

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

The way to heaven is through Jesus, first you must realize

 

1. We are sinners.

 

As the Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). 

Sin is falling short of God’s perfection. Everyone has sinned many times in life. We have all lied, or stolen, or cheated, or done something wrong at some time in our lives. 

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). 

We are all sinners.

 

2. We deserve Hell.

 

Realize that there is a punishment for being a sinner, and that punishment is death. “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). 

Not only a physical death, but also a spiritual death. The place of spiritual death is called Hell. 

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). 

There is probably no person alive who can say that they never told a lie. We have all sinned and we all deserve the punishment of Hell for our sin. 

 

3.  Jesus loves us and died for our sins.

 

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). 

Jesus willingly went to the cross, shed His blood, and died for our sins. He paid the price for our sins. He suffered the punishment that we deserve. When He was on the cross, Jesus suffered Hell for us. Hell is a place of total separation from God. When Jesus was on the cross, God the Father separated Himself from God the Son. That is why Jesus cried out “with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” 

Jesus was experiencing separation from God the Father. He was suffering the Hell that we deserve. He was paying for our sins. 

 

4.  We must receive Christ by faith through prayer.

 

In order to receive the forgiveness of our sins, it is not enough to know that we are sinners, that we deserve Hell, and that Christ died for our sins, but we must receive Christ by faith. 

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). 

Notice that verse tells us that we cannot earn our way to heaven. We obtain salvation through faith, not by works. Faith basically means to place your trust in something or someone. If you are sitting down while reading this, you are placing your faith or trust in the chair that you are sitting upon. Faith requires more than just an intellectual belief; it involves an action of your will. 

For example, if there were a pond covered with ice, and there were people standing around saying that the ice could hold them up, but they were not willing to walk on the ice, then they would only be demonstrating an intellectual belief and not demonstrating faith. However, if they stepped out onto the ice, then they would be demonstrating faith. 

 

Placing our faith in Christ

 

One can place their faith in Jesus Christ by simply calling out to Him in prayer, for the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I expressed faith in Jesus Christ by sincerely praying a prayer like this: 

“Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I deserve Hell. Thank you for dying for my sins. Save me. Come into my life. Make me the kind of person that you want me to be. I thank you that you have and that you will take me to heaven when I die. Amen.” 

If you sincerely pray that prayer to God with all your heart, then the Lord Jesus will come into your life and forgive your sins and save you from an eternity of Hell. And if you were to die tomorrow, you would go to heaven. Not because you are good enough to get there, but because you have received the payment of your sins. It is that simple as the following verses tell us. 

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:11-13) 

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24) 

Jesus loves you and wants to save you, call out to the Lord and be saved today. 

In conclusion there are a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing out there bad music, drugs, bad people, video games, books, TV, movies, pornography, false religions, and even yourself if you are thinking wrong. Stay away from the wolves that are trying to destroy you, flee from them, draw close to God, spend time with Him, and obey His commandments. 

Remember Solomon who allowed himself to be deceived by his wives. At the end of his life he realized the error of his ways and this is what he said 

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
