The Rapture: Why & Wnen

rapture, prewrath, pretribulation, tribulation, end times, bible, prophecy, prophecies, revelation, Jesus, second coming
Is there a rapture? And if there is a rapture when in the last 7 years will it occur?

Some do not believe in a rapture, but God through scripture, our only source for doctrine, says that there is a rapture. I will clearly show you this fact. Answer this question; will God ever allow His children to experience His wrath? Scripture answers a resounding, NO. God spared righteous Noah and Lot and He will spare us from His wrath.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom 5:9. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thes 1:1 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thes 5:9.

It is clear God's children will not be subject to His wrath. Many of the events of the end times are part of God's wrath. So just like God rescued Noah and Lot He will rescue us via the rapture before He pours out His wrath on the unrighteous. Thus if there is God's wrath then there has to be a rapture. In 1 Thes we are given a clear picture and description of the rapture where the words "caught up" are used to describe it.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.2. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.3. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.4. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

So it is clear there is a rapture; when does it occur? That is easy to answer; it occurs just before God's wrath begins. So if we find when God's wrath begins then the rapture will be just before that. When in the end times does God's wrath begin? Again scripture is clear it begins after the sixth seal is opened.

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;13. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.14. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.15. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;16. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:17. For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

For the great day of His wrath is come! Again it is clear God's wrath begins after the sixth seal is opened. (And BTW it cannot happen before the fifth seal because the fifth seal is the persecution of Jews and Christians and God will not persecute His children, that is an action of the devil and his deceived ones.) As a matter of fact if you look closely at the Revelation 6 passage above and notice what the men of the earth say; "hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne," and ask yourself this question; how can they say hide us from His face if they do not see Him? In fact they do see Him, that is why they say that because Jesus has come to the clouds for all to see to rescue His children from the great day of His wrath which consists of seal 7 - Vial 7.

Forgive me for being blunt, but Christians need to wake up and stop ignoring what the scriptures teach concerning the rapture. It is vitally important to have a correct rapture theory! Please wake up dear brother and sister in Christ before it is too late! Wake up!

  1. OBAMA SUPPORTS PUBLIC DEPRAVITY !

Obama is pro-choice. His party is No. 1 in choosing fast death (by abortion) and slow death (by AIDS). But Obama wouldn't choose this slogan: "Unborn children should have the same right to be born alive that abortionists had!"
And he'd never want folks to Google "Zombietime" and click on "Up Your Alley Fair." (This is Nancy Pelosi's district, and San Francisco mayor Newsom told the cops to NOT arrest anyone exercising the kinky, child-abusing "rights" Obama approves of which are flaunted by totally naked sodomites on public streets in front of children!)
After recovering from the uncensored photos, Yahoo "God to Same-Sexers: Hurry Up" (even Jesus told Judas to hurry up - John 13:27) and "Dangerous Radicals of the Religious Right." See all of this before the "God" named in all 50 US state constitutions exercises His rights and responds with earthquakes, violent storms, and other bad news.
Obama, Pelosi, and their public-porn-protecting collaborators don't want anyone to know what really goes on at those "gay" festivals because the shocking details could ignite and unite the Religious Right like nothing else - which explains why nothing was said about "gay" rights at any of the US Presidential debates!
Incredibly, the unnatural acts which forced God to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah (resulting in the Dead Sea Green Party's sudden change of plans!), and which were capital crimes (along with murder) in early America, are now fulfilling the "days of Lot" (Luke 17) Jesus said would happen JUST BEFORE His return as the no-excuses-allowed Supreme Judge.
The same predicted endtime perversion is now being taught to elementary school youngsters as "natural" and even "desirable" by those who ignore Christ's statement that such child abusers should be "drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matt. 18:6)!
You might say that American leaders are now doing a lot to help fulfill the same "days of Lot" - thus doing a lot to help make the Bible even more believable!
Want some more jolts? Google or Yahoo "Obama Avoids Bible Verses," "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty," and "David Letterman's Hate, Etc."

(Obama, Pelosi and other world-wreckers did NOT approve of this message!)

  2. You say that God saved Noah and Lot and therefore it proved we will be raptured before the Wrath. Does the Word say that we will be caught up in the air and ever be with the Lord (rapture) yes it does. Does the Word say we are saved from the Wrath to come? yes it does. Does the Word say when the rapture will occur. Sure - the Last day (John 6:40, 6:44, 6:54) If it is the last day that means there would be no more days after that, certainly not seven years of days. God protected Noah and Lot but He didnt rapture them. He will protect his kids from the Wrath, but not necessarily rapture them before the wrath occurs.

  3. Rocky; yes America is due for judgement. I have heard several preachers say that if God does not judge America, then He owes Sodom and Gomorah an apology (No sacralige intended).

Wendy; Yes we will be "raised" on the last day. But being "raised" and being "raptured" are 2 different events that happen at different times. When Christ appears in the clouds we are translated, disappear, are caught up to meet the Lord in the air/clouds. On the last day we receive our resurrection bodies and return with Christ to inherit the earth.

Also God removed Lot from the city, He did not protect him in the city. Revelation 3:10 which I will post about soon shows that God will rescue us out of the midst of the great tribulation.

Think about this; would it make any sense for God to keep us here while His wrath is being poured out and then on the last day to rescue us via a rapture to meet him in the air and then we immediately come back down and inherit the earth?

Also a rapture on the last day theory sets up a contradiction. If the rapture were on the last day then we would know when it was--no one knows the day or hour. Thus a contradiction is set up and thus the theory cannot be correct.

  4. paul teaches at 1thess4 that we would remain until "the parousia" of the Lord. then at 2thess2 paul teaches that "that wicked" would be destroyed by the brightness of "the parousia" of the lord. so the rapture occurs at the parousia which destroys that wicked i.e. the second advent, which occurs on the 10th day of the 7th month of some not-distant year (which will also fall on a jubilee year).

"no one knows the day or hour" is referring to the feast of trumpets which literally no man knows the day or hour that it begins in ANY year, let alone the year in which it will be fulfilled. the feast of trumpets is the first of the fall days of ingathering which are to be fulfilled in succession in the month of tishri (the temple imagery in the revelation is fall festival imagery), just as the spring days of firstfruits in succession in the month of aviv.

the wrath of God is accomplished by sending evil angels Ps 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. the revelation is ultimately signifying heavenly things, not earthly things. it is showing evil angels deceiving the world with lies; not a war fought with earthly swords on earthly ground, and loss of earthly life; but a war fought with words (heavenly swords) for hearts (heavenly ground), and loss of salvation (heavenly life) through a terrible deception which as paul also teaches causes a great falling away from Christ (2thess2).

the elect are guarded from the time of testing by the knowledge of the Word of God; specifically by the understanding of the times e.g. 17th day, 2nd month; 10th day, 7th month; 10th day, 10th month; etc. because the times actually have been appointed thousands of years ago.

and if isaac newton is right (observations chapter X) then the second coming should be somewhere between sept 21-23 in 2015 (counting by biblical years of 360 days)

also the 10th day of the 10th month is when the king of confusion will come with all of his hosts (read: satan and his angels) to war against jerusalem (read: deceive the church). in the year 2012, tevet 10 will fall somewhere between dec 21-23. coincidence? only time will tell.

  6. The word “rapture” comes from the Latin word rapturo, which is a translation of the Greek verb "caught up" that’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. So therefore "The Rapture", and being "Caught Up" actually mean the same thing.

    So when you told Wendy:

"Wendy; Yes we will be "raised" on the last day. But being "raised" and being "raptured" are 2 different events that happen at different times. When Christ appears in the clouds we are translated, disappear, are caught up to meet the Lord in the air/clouds. On the last day we receive our resurrection bodies and return with Christ to inherit the earth."

Can you please explain what you meant by your above statement? Maybe I'm misreading it, or that you meant something else.

    1. Wendy believes that the rapture happens at the end of the 7 years at Armageddon. I was trying to explain to her the difference between the rapture when we are changed into a spiritual body, and the last day when we receive our resurrection bodies.

  7. Years ago an evangelist whom I know and trust told me he was shown that the triobulation and all the events of the Book of Revelation could all be fulfilled in a year! And yet scripture would be perfectly fulfilled! How? An Australian prophet was told that time was speeding up by about three hours a month and that eventually 15 minutes will replace the span of one hour.If fifteen minutes equals one hour, then the anti-Christ's reign of 3 1/2 years will be completed in 320 days. 3 hours a month=36 hours per year or 2160 minutes per year or 6 minutes a day. 7 hours x 12 =84 hours per year=14 minutes per day and then 12 hours per month=144 hours per year or 8,640 minutes per year or 24 minutes a day! So can all things happen within a year? You bet!
