The Dangers of Debt Monetization; It Leads to the Mark!

Got too much debt? No problem, just print more money!

Unfortunately, that is what many governments of the world are doing—they have so much debt that they cannot make the interest payments, so they create more money. This is called debt monetization and knowing that many countries around the world are doing this I asked Google Gemini a series of questions as to where this would all lead to. It will lead to the mark, check it out. Note: My prompts and comments are in blue.

User prompt: Run a simulation to see what will eventually happen if the governments of the world create money without anything backing it up in order to pay their debt payments

Response: When a government creates unbacked money to pay off its debts—a practice known as debt monetization—the fundamental result is that the increased money supply outpaces the actual goods and services in the economy, causing the currency to rapidly lose its purchasing power.

The Economic Chain Reaction

·         Dilution of Value: Printing money does not create wealth; it simply divides the existing economic output into smaller units. Every new unit of currency printed makes all existing units worth slightly less.

·         Price Inflation: As more money circulates chasing the same amount of goods and services, sellers naturally raise prices to match the increased demand.

·         The Wage-Price Spiral: Workers demand higher wages to afford more expensive daily goods, leading businesses to raise prices further to cover their increased labor costs.

·         Capital Flight: When inflation accelerates, citizens and foreign investors lose confidence in the currency. They quickly convert cash into hard assets (real estate, gold, commodities) or stable foreign currencies, causing the domestic currency's exchange rate to plummet. (Could that be why gold and silver have pretty much doubled in the last 2 years?)

·         Hyperinflation: The government, finding its newly printed money is now worth less, is forced to print even larger quantities to pay off the exact same debts, triggering an exponential collapse.

History provides stark examples of this feedback loop reaching its ultimate conclusion when countries attempt to print their way out of heavy debt burdens:

Country

Timeframe

Peak Inflation Rate

Ultimate Consequence

Germany (Weimar)

1921–1923

29,500% per month

Currency completely abandoned; citizens used cash as wallpaper and fuel.

Zimbabwe

2007–2009

79.6 billion % per month

Transitioned to using foreign currencies like the US Dollar and South African Rand.

Venezuela

2016–Present

344,000% per year (2018)

Massive economic contraction, capital flight, and extreme poverty.

To illustrate the sheer scale of the mathematical collapse, governments are eventually forced to print absurdly high denominations just to allow citizens to buy basic groceries.

User prompt: What will eventually happen in the world if the majority of countries do this?

Response: If the majority of the world's governments simultaneously monetize their debts by printing unbacked money, the traditional mechanism of currency collapse—where one currency falls relative to another—is bypassed. Instead, the global economy would experience a synchronized flight from fiat currency entirely, triggering a systemic financial reset.

The "Debasement Trade" Because citizens and investors cannot escape to a stronger neighboring fiat currency, global capital would aggressively flood into scarce, tangible assets. Prices for physical gold, real estate, agricultural land, and alternative stores of value like Bitcoin would skyrocket globally as people abandon paper money.

Illusion of Stability, Reality of Inflation Foreign exchange rates might initially look stable because major countries are diluting their money supplies at similar rates, temporarily masking the crisis in currency markets. However, the real-world purchasing power of all these currencies would plummet simultaneously against actual goods, causing synchronized global hyperinflation and a massive surge in the cost of living. (Sounds like Seal 3 to me)

Breakdown of International Trade Global supply chains rely on stable currencies to price long-term contracts. If exporting nations know the fiat currency they receive will rapidly lose value, they will simply refuse to accept it. Resource-rich nations would hoard physical goods (like oil, wheat, and industrial metals) rather than trade them for depreciating paper, leading to severe global supply shortages and the collapse of international commerce.

Massive Wealth Transfer This scenario causes a devastating, structural wealth transfer. The global working class, wage earners, and retirees relying on fixed pensions, bonds, and cash savings would see their real wealth evaporate. Conversely, individuals and institutions already holding hard assets (real estate, commodities) would see their net worth artificially inflate, drastically widening global wealth inequality.

Systemic Monetary Reset A complete global loss of faith in unbacked fiat money ultimately forces a systemic reset. To restore trust and resume global trade, the world would have to adopt a new, rigidly constrained monetary anchor. This would likely require abandoning pure fiat in favor of a commodity-backed system (such as a return to a gold standard) or adopting a strict, mathematically enforced digital reserve currency that individual governments cannot independently inflate.

User prompt: Would this lead to a digital currency that would be used worldwide?

Response: A synchronized collapse of national fiat currencies would almost certainly force the world onto a global digital currency system to restart international trade. However, the exact nature of this currency would likely trigger a fierce societal and geopolitical battle between two completely opposite models.

The Top-Down Reset: Supranational CBDCs Governments and international financial organizations (like the IMF or the Bank for International Settlements) would attempt to retain control by launching a unified Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) that supersedes national borders.

·         To regain public trust after wiping out the middle class through inflation, this new digital currency could not be pure fiat. It would likely be digitally pegged to a verifiable basket of real-world assets—such as gold, oil, and essential commodities.

·         This system would offer instant global settlement and stability, but it would give a centralized, unelected authority unprecedented surveillance and programmable control over every transaction on Earth.

The Bottom-Up Rebellion: Decentralized Assets Conversely, a global population that just lost its life savings to government money-printing might outright reject another state-controlled currency, regardless of what it claims to be backed by.

·         Capital and trade would naturally flow into decentralized, cryptographically secure networks (like Bitcoin) that possess a mathematically fixed supply.

·         Because no single government, corporation, or central bank can alter the code to print more of it to pay off debts, a decentralized digital asset could emerge organically as the neutral, trustless reserve currency for global commerce.

The Ultimate Currency War The aftermath of global debt monetization would not be a peaceful, coordinated transition to a single digital coin. Governments would aggressively push their unified, centralized CBDC—perhaps forcing adoption by using it to distribute Universal Basic Income or requiring it for tax payments—while simultaneously attempting to ban or heavily restrict decentralized alternatives.

Ultimately, the global economy would split, forcing citizens and nations to choose between a highly efficient, heavily surveilled state digital currency and a censorship-resistant, decentralized financial network.

User prompt: Would a unified CBDC require a biometric identifier in order to use it?

Response: While the specific technical rules of a theoretical unified Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) have not been finalized, the practical reality of global banking regulations means that yes, it would almost certainly require a biometric identifier to access and use. (Seal 5, no one can buy or sell without the mark)

If a unified CBDC is to serve as the foundation of the global financial system, it cannot function like anonymous physical cash. International monetary authorities (like the IMF and the Bank for International Settlements) emphasize that any CBDC must adhere to strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) standards.

To enforce these laws globally, central banks are integrating CBDC architectures directly with Digital Identity (Digital ID) systems. Here is why biometrics are the necessary missing link:

·         The "De-duplication" Problem: If the government uses the CBDC to distribute universal basic income, stimulus checks, or rations, they must ensure one person cannot open 1,000 different wallets. Biometrics (like a facial scan or fingerprint) provide the cryptographic proof of uniqueness that a simple password or ID number cannot.

·         Know Your Customer (KYC) at Scale: Compliance organizations and banking rulebooks are already drafting regulations for digital asset applications. These rules typically mandate "liveness detection" (e.g., recording a live video selfie) and matching facial features against a government database to verify identity before a wallet can be activated.

·         Device Authentication: Even if the central database does not store your fingerprint, the hardware wallet or smartphone application required to authorize a CBDC transaction will likely use local biometric gates (FaceID, TouchID) as the private key to sign transactions securely.

The Tiered Approach

Some central banks have proposed a "tiered" or "graduated" KYC system to balance privacy with security. In this model, you might not need a biometric scan for very small, everyday transactions (e.g., buying a coffee). However, if you want to hold a meaningful amount of savings, transfer large sums, or send money across borders, the system would hit a hard limit, requiring you to upload biometric proof to unlock higher tiers of the CBDC network.

Ultimately, a unified CBDC is a programmable ledger of human behavior. To ensure the ledger accurately maps to reality and prevents illicit finance, governments have concluded that the ledger must be tied to a verified human body.

Thus, it is very easy to see how debt monetization can lead to a worldwide financial collapse, and then an ensuing financial reset involving a unified CBDC requiring a ledger tied to a verified human body. I foresee a unified CBDC requiring a ledger tied to a verified human body as seal 5 and the mark, when no one can buy or sell without it.

Now the big question is, when? If we entered into the last 7 years as of 10/13/2025, which I believe we have, then I would expect to see the mark in the early part of 2029.
