There are a lot of people
nowadays going around claiming that they are prophets of the Lord and or that
God told them something. I have read many of these so called prophetic
discourses, as they abound on the internet. The conclusion that I have come to
is that they are transmitting information from deceiving spirits—let me tell
you why I believe this.
First off let’s examine what
scripture—our only sure foundation for faith and doctrine—says about judging
someone who claims to be a prophet.
20 But the prophet,
which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him
to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet
shall die.
21 And if thou say
in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet
speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass,
that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken
it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Deut 18
There it is, the test of a
prophet; if someone says “thus saith the Lord” and it does not come to pass
then they are a false prophet. That is all there is to it, they must be 100%
accurate, if not, they are a false prophet.
Now let me give you an
example of a prophecy that has recently been featured on several news sites and
let’s apply the test to what has been stated.
'Firefighter Prophet' Updates His Vision
for Donald Trump's Presidency
In April 2011—yes, 2011—retired Florida firefighter
Mark Taylor received a word from the Lord about the future of America.
In that powerful prophecy, God said Donald
Trump had been chosen to lead the United States of America to "bring
honor, respect and restoration."
"God has performed everything He said
He was going to do," Taylor said. "First and foremost, I want to give
credit to Lord Jesus, who is the Spirit of Prophecy,

here is a snippet.
4-28-11 Commander in Chief
The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this
man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to
lsrael, so shall this man be to the United States of America! For I will use
this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America. America will be
respected once again as the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth, other
than lsrael). The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history
of the United States, and will once again be the currency by which all others
are judged…
That is his 2011 prophecy and
some of it seems to be coming to pass, after all Trump did become President.
Most of the prophecy deals with things that are supposed to happen during
President’s Trump’s time in office, so it will be a while before we can
determine the truthfulness of this prophecy, so let’s look at some of his other
prophecies and see if they have come to pass. Here is one entitled America,
America from October of 2015.
The Spirit of God says, "The Supreme Court shall lose three, and
my President shall pick new ones directly from MY TREEI
Are you still not convinced that he's my
anointed, and that he's the one I have appointed? Why can no one figure it out,
the news media, the people, and the so called wise. Why, when he's attacked, do
his poll numbers rise? Those who attack him, their numbers go low, even to the
point of a big fat zero. lt's simple to see, this man I have appointed, for in
my word, is your answer. I said 'do not touch my anointed, especially my prophets'. lf you are still not convinced
about what my word says, another sign will be given. lt will be a WARNING TO
ALL, especially those who will NOT LISTEN."
The Spirit of God says, "The sign will
be El-Chappo, El-Chappo, your evil reign has come to an end. Who do you think
you are attacking my anointed? Turn
yourself in and repent and I will spare you. lf you do not, you and those that
follow you will surely die a very public death for the entire world to see.
For no one touches my anointed. I the Lord am an all seeing and all knowing
God. I will be the one to disclose your location, the den, the den, that you
and your vipers hide in. For time is short and the spirit of death is at your
door, and the world will see your dead body and the red shirt you wore.
Ok let’s stop right there and
see what happened to El Chappo.
1st capture: 9 June 1993
2nd capture: 22 February 2014
3rd capture: 8 January 2016
1st escape: 19 January 2001
2nd escape: 11 July 2015
Guzmán escaped from prison again on 11 July
2015 by exiting through a 1.5 km (0.93 mi) tunnel that led to a
construction site.[21] He was recaptured
by Mexican marines and Federal Police following a shootout on 8
January 2016.
The above prophecy said that
if El Chappo did not turn himself in that he would be killed for all the world
to see. Did he turn himself in? NO. Was he killed? NO. Apply the prophecy test, you be the judge.
Let’s look at another
prophecy of his entitled Do
Not Fear America.
The Spirit of God says, "5, that's
right, 5 Supreme Court Justices will be
appointed by my new president, my anointed. I will choose 5 through my
anointed to keep those alive. I will stack the court with those that I choose,
to send a clear message to the enemy, that you lose! This is the miracle that I
will perform, so that MY COURT will be reformed."
Did you catch the
contradiction? Above he said 3 would be appointed by the new president and then
in the latest prophecy he said 5 will be appointed by the new president. Apply the prophecy test. you be the judge.
So how can someone who claims
the name of Christ, and I am not judging their soul, speak these words as “thus
saith the Lord” and they do not come true? What is going on here?
IMHO I believe that they are
hearing from deceiving spirits. For whatever reason, and there are many
possible, their bodies are becoming controlled or overcome or spoken to by a
demonic entity.
Watch this clip of a modern
prophet and you tell me what kind of spirit is being invoked here?
I ask you, what spirit are
they invoking in the above video, the Spirit of God or a demonic spirit? Is
what is going on in that clip indicative of how the Spirit of God acts? You be the judge.
Now the Spirit
speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1 Tim 4:1
In my opinion these self
proclaimed prophets who say “thus saith the Lord” are doing great harm to the
church of God. I call on them to stop these foolish babblings and to stop
allowing themselves to be influenced by these demonic deceiving spirits. In the
name and through the blood of Jesus these entities need to be sent back to
where they came from.
I further admonish these self
proclaimed prophets to consider carefully the words of Revelation 22.
18 For I testify
unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man
shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are
written in this book:
19 And if any man
shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take
away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the
things which are written in this book.
20 He which
testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord
Jesus.
21 The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
In light of those scriptures IMHO
when somebody says “thus saith the Lord” they are adding to scripture. You be the judge.
Prophecies from deceiving
spirits can also be dangerous. Let me give you an example of how these
prophecies can be dangerous. Here is a prophecy
from 2011.
Now is the time
you have been preparing for. The enemy is preparing to release an attack of
untold proportions on My people and parts of his plan will shock you….
And here is
one of her latest from 2017.
There is no more time
for playing, My children, for the end is
at hand. I will come to take My own home quickly, like a thief in the
night. There will be no time for repenting in those last seconds, for you will
not know when it shall be. You must walk with Me daily. You must endure what is
coming, remaining faithful to Me, and working now while it is yet day…
Ok you see
what is going on here, in 2011 she says that now is the time that we have been
preparing for. So what happened in 2011 that we as Christians should have been
preparing for? Nothing! Apply the
prophecy test, you be the judge.
And then in
her 2017 prophecy she says the end is at hand, meaning we are at the time of
the rapture. I beg to differ scripture tells us that the rapture cannot be
imminent until Seals 1 to 5 have occurred and the antichrist has taken over the
world. Apply the prophecy test, you be
the judge.
So if one were to heed these prophecies,
it may cause someone to believe in a false doctrine and or timing of end times
events—this is dangerous. And when these prophecies do not come true as was the
case with her 2011 prophecy it can upset the faith of some Christians.
Let me show you something
else that often happens with these prophecies—they contradict each other. Look
again at the first prophecy in this post from the fireman prophet.
The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this

this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America. America will be respected once again as the
most powerful and prosperous nation on earth, other than lsrael). The
dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United
States, and will once again be the currency by which all others are judged…
That prophecy makes it sound
like America is getting ready to enter into a very prosperous time. Compare
that to this prophecy from the lady above spoken in 2012.
Oh America, America, why do you fight for
what is wrong and abandon those who speak what is right? So shall you be left
desolate in the day of your judgments.
You claim to know what is right, yet you do
what is wrong in the darkness of your chambers. In your heart is only blackness
and no mercy shall be shown you in that day.
I shall bring another, great and mighty, to
tear you to pieces. It shall crush you under its feet and trample your beauty,
and you shall be no more.
You refuse to show mercy and so shall you
be refused mercy in your time of destruction.
Woe to you who call evil good and good
evil, and who seek your own glory at the price of others' heads. So shall your
own head have a price among the nations and you shall be hunted and destroyed.
Prepare, My people, for the
end of America looms near. She has many enemies who secretly want to
see her brought down, and so shall it be
done, for the Lord of Hosts has spoken it.
So one prophecy says judgment
is near and another says prosperity is near. It cannot be both; logically one
or both of them have to be wrong. Apply
the prophecy test, you be the judge.
Conclusion
I call on Christians to stop
listening to these deceiving prophets; they are causing great confusion in the
church. They are a trap. Just like rat poison that is mostly food with a little
poison, so these false prophets do many times speak truth but it is interlaced
with error and falsehoods. And it is the error and falsehoods that can bring destruction.
Beloved, believe
not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many
false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 Jn 4:1
