Know Fear -- No Fear

When the world enters into the end times it will be one of the most tumultuous periods in its existence. The sorrows and tribulations that will be coming upon the world in that time are going to be intense. I must admit that thinking about the future has brought fear into my heart and may have brought fear into yours. Some do not even want to talk about the end times because it frightens them too much.

I know this; God does not want you to be afraid and God does want you to know the truth about the end times--for "the truth will set you free."

So how can we not be afraid? The answer; by fearing God.

For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. 14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; Isaiah 8:11-14

If we fear God by acknowledging who He is, the infinitely powerful creator who holds us accountable for our sins, and call out to Him to be saved we become one of His children. Just as parents have a desire protect their children, God will protect His in an infinitely greater way.

So the fear of the Lord brings protection and with protection comes the removal of fear. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: Prov 1:7a and that knowledge will vanquish fear.

What will God specifically do for His children? Job 5 gives a good summary: Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: 18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. 19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. 21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. 22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. 23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. 24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. 25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. 26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. 27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.

If we fear the Lord and are saved and become His child He will protect us and He will only allow times of tribulation and anguish to come upon us if it is for our good. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28. Problems can also come upon us for chastisement because of our disobedience. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 1Cor 11:30.

To sum it all up: Knowing fear leads to no fear. Let us rest securely in our Father's hands.

The Fourth Beast

Have you ever heard the term “New World Order?” That is the term given to the coming one world government. Former President Bush made reference to the NWO in several speeches. The Washington Times recently reported on the fact that President George Bush called for just such a New World Order while giving a speech in Canada:

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — President Bush yesterday challenged international leaders to create a new world order, declaring pre-September 11 multilateralism outmoded and asserting that freedom from terrorism will come only through pre-emptive action against enemies of democracy.[1]

In his inauguration speech, President Bush also acknowledged that the United States is going forward with the plan set about to bring in the “new order of the ages” or in other words the New World Order.[2] This coming one world government, NWO, was foreseen by Daniel thousands of years ago in a vision.

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (Dan 7:7-8)

Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast…Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. (Dan 7:19-27)

The apostle John also saw a vision of the end times demonic world kingdom in Revelation 13.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Rev 13:1-8)

This most dreadful world empire represented by the fourth beast will be controlled by the devil himself, of which the antichrist will be the leader for the last 3.5 years of the 70th Week. The NWO, the final world kingdom, will be the supreme entity on the earth during the end-times, and this final world kingdom will directly and indirectly affect many people’s lives. They will be responsible for much of what occurs on the earth during the 70th Week and directly responsible for the first 5 seals. I feel it is necessary for people to know about the NWO so that people would not be caught off guard by their actions. The more you know about the NWO, the more you can help others avoid the great deception that is coming and that is already at work in the world today.

What Is the New World Order?
Throughout the ages many people—starting with Adam and Eve—have been deceived into following satan and doing his bidding. For the last couple of hundred years, satan has gathered a group of people whose goal has been to take over the world and form a one-world government. This group of people could best be called ”the illuminati.” And can refer to any group which has “seen the light” and been “illuminated” in the satanic way described above. This would include Masons, Theosophists, Knights Templar, satanists, pagans, and New Age adherents. All of these groups are very similar in belief.[3]

Here is a quote from New Age adherent and promoter David Spangler that shows the satan/Illuminati/New Age connection.

Lucifer is the angel of man’s inner light….Lucifer, like Christ, stands at the door of man’s consciousness and knocks….If man says, ‘Come in,’ Lucifer becomes….the being who carries…the light of wisdom….Lucifer is literally the angel of experience. He is an agent of God’s love…and we move into a new age…each of us in some way is brought to that point which I term the Luceriferic initiation….It is one that many people now, and in the days ahead, will be facing, for it is an initiation into the New Age.[4]

In recent years, Illuminati have risen to the top of world and national politics. Here is a list of a few of the reported modern day Illuminati groups: The Carnegies, The CFR, The Bilderbergers, The Rothschilds, and the Tri Lateral Commission. One reason that they surmise this is because the passage says; “But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.” Thus, they assert that the things mentioned above all happen after Seal 5. If you just take the Luke passage alone, that is a logical conclusion, but taking into account the Matthew and Mark passage, which places the “nation arising against nation” before the Abomination of Desolation, this creates a contradiction. Scripture cannot contradict scripture; thus there has to be another interpretation for the Luke passage. The other interpretation is that the persecution that would happen before all these sorrows is the persecution that the first century Christians endured. Here is what Ryrie has to say about this in his Study Bible. “Luke 21-7 when …will these things happen? There is a dual perspective in Christ’s answer—the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and the tribulation days just prior to his Second Coming.” So I believe that the persecution that will occur before the great wars mentioned in the Luke passage is in reference to the persecution that the first century Christians endured.

3 Lines to Israel; One for Life, Two for Death

There are three lines; 2 are for death and one is for life. What will you choose America? What will you choose Israel? Here is the rest of the story...

The other night as I was reading my Bible for my nightly devotions I randomly turned to 2 Samuel 8. The second verse hit me like a ton of bricks.

And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines. 2And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts. (2Samuel 8:1,2)

Let's investigate the passage and see what it means. The phrase "with a line" only occurs once in the KJV. Strong's defines the word like this.

Matthew Henry comments on the passage;

God had given David rest from all his enemies that opposed him and made head against him; and he having made a good use of that rest, has now commission given him to make war upon them, and to act offensively for the avenging of Israel’s quarrels and the recovery of their rights; for as yet they were not in full possession of that country to which by the promise of God they were entitled...

He smote the Moabites, and made them tributaries to Israel, v. 2. He divided the country into three parts, two of which he destroyed, casting down the strong-holds, and putting all to the sword; the third part he spared, to till the ground and be servants to Israel. Dr. Lightfoot says, "He laid them on the ground and measured them with a cord, who should be slain and who should live;’’ and this is called meting out the valley of Succoth, Ps. 60:6. The Jews say he used this severity with the Moabites because they had slain his parents and brethren, whom he put under the protection of the king of Moab during his exile, 1 Sa. 22:3, 4. He did it in justice, because they had been dangerous enemies to the Israel of God; and in policy, because, if left in their strength, they still would have been so. But observe, Though it was necessary that two-thirds should be cut off, yet the line that was to keep alive, though it was but one, is ordered to be a full line. Be sure to give that length enough; let the line of mercy be stretched to the utmost in favorem vitae—so as to favour life. Matthew Henry Commentary

In the post "A-lining" With Israel it was shown that there are three lines that align with prominent locations in the United States and Israel. One that goes through the capital in Washington D.C., the first capital in New York, and the Golan Heights. The second goes through the capital in Washington D.C., the second capital in Philadelphia, and the Gaza Strip. The third goes through Independence Hall and the Temple Mount and aligns with "interesting" locations in the USA. It was also shown that these lines have profound prophetic implications.

So we have 3 prominent lines between the USA and Israel and 2 days after the study was posted as I randomly open my Bible God brings me to the only passage in scripture that contains the phrase "with a line," and a passage that references three lines! I find this highly significant and beyond coincidence.

Here are the implications as I see it. First; I take this occurrence as a confirmation from God for the information in the "A-lining" With Israel post. Secondly; I believe that the 2 lines of death are the lines that point to the Golan Heights and the Gaza Strip, and that if we force Israel to divide her land and give back these territories as is being promoted by many, that God will allow satan to destroy our land. I also believe that it is highly possible that just as David divided the land of the Moabites and killed those who lived within certain boundaries divided by the lines that God will allow satan to destroy portions of our land divided by those lines--possibly New York, Washington, Philadelphia or even the areas between them. Third our line of life is our supporting Israel's right to her land, our "chevron" of protection. We are in "dainger" if we choose to force her to divide it.

God brought another thought to my mind; check where Katrina made landfall.


Look how close the line between the Temple Mount and Independence Hall is to where Katrina made land fall. As a matter of fact all three lines come close to this area.


Look at the proximity of the line to what counties were declared Federal disaster areas.


Many think that Katrina was a direct result of the USA pressuring Israel to remove settlers from the Gaza Strip as outlined in this article by World Net Daily.

JERUSALEM – While most religious authorities seem to agree one cannot discern the intentions of God, there has been talk in some circles here and on the Internet that the storm that turned parts of the Gulf Coast into a disaster zone, prompting hundreds of thousands to evacuate their homes and possibly causing upwards of 10,000 deaths, was thrust upon the U.S. for its support of the Gaza evacuation.

"Katrina is a consequence of the destruction of [Gaza's] Gush Katif [slate of Jewish communities] with America's urging and encouragement," Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Lewin, executive director of the Rabbinic Congress for Peace, told WND. "The U.S. should have discouraged Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon from implementing the Gaza evacuation rather than pushing for it and pressuring Israel into concessions..."

The article goes on to describe similarities between the two events. This all brings me to repeat what I said before in the "A-lining With Israel" post; AMERICA DO NOT DIVIDE THE LAND OF ISRAEL!

Today in my devotions the Lord brought me to a passage which I believe is a message for Israel, who is not innocent in her dealings.

1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD. 3Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. 4Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. 5For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; 6If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: 7Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Jeremiah 7:1-7

Do you, O Israel, want to dwell securely and peacefully in your land and prosper? Then turn to Jesus and accept Him as your Messiah. One day after you have been deceived and ravaged by the antichrist one third of you, O Israel, will and you will be saved and dwell in the land peacefully and you will prosper.

And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God. (Zech 13:8–9)

7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. 8For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. 10Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. 11For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. Jeremiah 30:7-11.

There are three lines; 2 are for death and one is for life. What will you choose America? What will you choose Israel?

Chapter 8
O America!

O beautiful for spacious skies,

for amber waves of grain,

for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain!

America! America!

God shed his grace on thee and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!

America is the greatest most blessed nation in all the earth. Where does America fit in the prophetic scheme of things? Is America mentioned in the Bible? Will it have a role to play in the end-times scenario? Many say that America is not mentioned in the Bible. I disagree and strongly believe that America has been prophesied about in the Bible and that it will play a major role in the end times. How could the greatest nation in the world, the only super power, not have a role to play? Of course, it will. America has been mentioned many times in scripture. The clearest mention is found in Revelation 18. This chapter describes the end-times Babylon and the judgment that it will receive. I believe America is the end-times Babylon talked about in this chapter. Let us examine this chapter to find out why I believe America is the end-times Babylon, and what will happen to her.

The main reason why I — along with many others — believe that America is the Babylon talked about in Revelation 18 is because of several verses that, when considered collectively, lead us to conclude that America is the only country that fulfills all of the parameters listed in the verses. Let us examine what the scriptures say about this modern day end-times Babylon and see how they undeniably point to America.

1. End-times Babylon is a great nation that receives judgment for its many sins.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (Rev. 18:2)

2. This nation is a superpower and has world dominance and importance. It has also spread its corruption to the world.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her. (Rev. 18:3)...

Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7
The Millennium and Beyond

Have you ever tried to imagine what it would have been like to have been one of the disciples, and to have been able to spend time with, talk to, and interact with Jesus? I have and I think it must have been fantastic! Some day that will be a reality for all God’s children, we will be able to dwell with the Lord. That is the greatest aspect of the greatly anticipated Millennium kingdom—God dwelling with man. Right after the battle of Armageddon, Jesus will set up His Millennial Kingdom. Several events will take place during this time of transition. At this point, we will examine the order in which the events after the battle of Armageddon occur and concern ourselves with a more exact timing in the next chapter.

Let’s start this discussion with what happens after Armageddon. Immediately after the battle of Armageddon, the Lord will come from Bozrah to Jerusalem. Zechariah 14 speaks of this battle and then shows the Lord returning to Jerusalem:

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up…And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth…And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of tabernacles. (Zech 14:1-16)

This lengthy passage brings out several important facts. First we see the nations gathering against Israel, and from our discussion in the last chapter, we saw that Israel has been hidden and protected by God in Bozrah (Petra). Then, as the armies descend upon her, Jesus comes to the rescue of Israel and destroys the gathered armies. After the battle, He stands on the Mount of Olives, which splits and a great valley is formed. At this time, living waters will flow out of Jerusalem and the Lord will be anointed king over all the earth and all the land be turned into a plain and lifted up. The living waters are mentioned in Ezekiel and are seen to be coming from the throne of God and will bring blessings to the whole earth:

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward…Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed….And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. (Ez 47:1-12)

In the passage above, the prophet Ezekiel sees a vision of this great river of life. It has as its source the house of the Lord and goes “out toward the east country, and goes down into the desert, and goes into the sea.” This indicates that the river of life will flow into the Dead Sea and restore and purify its waters and then flow to all the earth. Zechariah tells us that the river will divide into two parts. One part of the river will flow toward the Dead Sea and the other to the Mediterranean. “And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.” (Zech14:8) It also was noted by Ezekiel that there were trees for food and medicine that grow along side this river.

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. (Eze. 47:12)

The river will also bring life and healing with it. Remember that after the bowl judgments, all living things in the ocean were destroyed. This river will restore life wherever it flows, and will bring an abundance of fish.

So when Jesus returns to Jerusalem after the battle of Armageddon, the river of life will start flowing from the throne of God. This implies that the throne is there and further implies that the temple has been restored, because the temple is the place of God’s throne.

Ezekiel shows us these exact things in his description of the millennial temple:...
