There are many people on the internet claiming that God told
them this or God told them that, etc. What is one to make of all these claims,
are these people really hearing from God?
Well one easy way to evaluate if these people are speaking
from God—just ask yourself the questions did what they say come to pass, or is
what they are saying in agreement with scripture? If the answer is no to either
of those questions, then they are a false prophet.
Here are a few words of God about false prophets.
14 Then the Lord said unto me, The
prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded
them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and
divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Jer 14:14
31 Behold, I am against the
prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that
prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to
err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded
them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord. Jer
23
1 And the word of the Lord came
unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the
prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of
their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;
3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto
the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 O Israel, thy prophets are like
the foxes in the deserts.
5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps,
neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the
day of the Lord.
6 They have seen vanity and lying
divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they
have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7 Have ye not seen a vain vision,
and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it;
albeit I have not spoken?
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God;
Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against
you, saith the Lord God. Eze 13
Beloved, believe not every spirit,
but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world. 1 Jn 4:1
A few times in the past I have included some of the words of
these so called prophets as a prophecy news item for your consideration. I now
realize this was a wrong choice. Furthermore because “many false prophets have
gone out into the world,” I will no longer be featuring any of these “vain
visions” of these so called prophets who “prophesy out of their own hearts”,
and or are having deceiving spirits come upon them.
So again because “many false prophets have gone out into the
world,” I will no longer be featuring any of these “vain visions” of these so
called prophets who “prophesy out of their own hearts”, and or are having
deceiving spirits come upon them. When the 2 witnesses show up right around the
midpoint, if we still have internet access then, I will publish their words.
