A Good Friday Fish Tale

Every year in honor of Good Friday I post this video; someone I know caught a large striped bass and made it into a movie with a gospel presentation. Thought you might enjoy watching it, and if you know of any sportsmen out there, you could send them the link—it would be a great way to get the gospel to them.
Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JMH_8XqwXQ&feature=youtu.be

BTW; the crucifixion was in 33 A.D. on a Friday, here's the proof: The Date of the Crucifixion--33 A.D.

  1. "here's the proof"? some of your data is in the ballpark but some of it is WAY off. for instance you reference artaxerxes and 444 bc along with 69 weeks. that math isn't even close. 69x7=483 years which according to your "proof" puts the beginning of Christ's ministry in 39AD. in addition to that you don't understand how to observe the actual calendar which makes determining the year of resurrection a bit difficult. I'll make it a bit simple. the ONLY possible way 33AD can even be considered is if the current or previous (in 33ad) friday evening/saturday day is NOT the actual biblical Sabbath and somehow it happens to be another day. in which case 31AD would actually be a more likely place to start than 33AD. However, if friday evening/saturday day is and has remained the biblical Sabbath day then 30AD is the correct year most likely with 31AD remaining a possible year. the point is 33AD though widely accepted by many without actual supporting evidence when put in the context of the actual evidence is not even a possibility unless the information we have regarding friday night/sat day Sabbath somehow has been lost and is not accurate. otherwise 33AD is not even a possible date... the data you've tried to use to support a THEORY of 33AD is flawed, and it certainly is not "proof" as you say. I say this so that you and others who come across this post will not simply continue to accept the flawed information widely regarded as correct when in reality it is NOT The Truth and perhaps search out some of these matters on their own in search of The Truth.

    1. Sixty-nine of the seventy weeks in that vision have already transpired. The passage says that the sixty-nine weeks would run from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, including the wall and street, to “Messiah the prince.” The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was recorded in Neh. 2:1-6:

And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it. And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

We see here that the decree was issued in the month Nisan of the twentieth year of Artaxerxes. When did that occur? Over the years, many have debated the dating of the decree. There are several methods for dating the reigning years of kings. The most widely accepted year for the twentieth year of Artaxerxes and this decree is 444 B.C. Hoehner explains all of the various dating methods and how this date is arrived at in his work, Chronological Aspects of the Life of Christ:

In conclusion, the report to Nehemiah (1:1) occurred in Chislev (November/December) of 445 B.C. and the decree of Artaxerxes (2:1) occurred in Nisan (March/April) of 444 B.C. Therefore, Nisan 444 B.C. marks the terminus a quo of the seventy weeks of Daniel 9:24-27.

Nehemiah does not specify the exact day of the month of the decree. However, in Hebrew narratives, when a date is given citing just a month, it is assumed that it is the first day of the month. In addition, it was traditional for Persian kings to issue decrees on the first day of the New Year. The Persian New Year started on Nisan 1. Thus having established that the decree to rebuild Jerusalem most likely went forth on Nisan 1, 444 B.C., which is March 3, 444 B.C. (Gregorian) , we can add sixty-nine weeks to that date and see what date we come to.

    2. A “week” in this passage is referring to a period of seven years. Thus, we can calculate the following: 69 x 7 = 483 years. But we cannot just add 483 years to March 3, 444 B.C. because all years in the Bible coincide with a year length of 360 days, not the approximately 365.25 days that we now experience and on which our calendar is based. The Biblical 360-day year length is evidenced in the Genesis flood account, where the waters covered the earth for 150 days, which was equated to five months, (5 x 30 = 150), and also in Revelation where the antichrist is given authority to rule for 3.5 years, which is equated to 1,260 days (3.5 x 360 = 1260). It is theorized that the earth, as confirmed in Genesis, was originally on a 360-day rotation pattern. Many cultures indicate that, around 800 B.C., some great astronomical phenomena occurred to change the rotation from a 360-day rotation to our current approx. 365.25-day rotation. Therefore, to apply Biblical chronological information to our calendar system, we must convert any 360-day years to 365.25-day years.
      Here is the calculation for the 69 weeks;

      69 weeks x 7 years = 483 years x 360 days = 173880 days  365 = 476 years 140 days – 119 days (for leap years) + 4 days (for leap centuries) = 476 years 25 days.

Thus, if we start with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem issued by Artaxerxes on March 3, 444 B.C. (Gregorian) and add 476 years and 25 days (69 weeks) you come to March 27, 33 A.D. (Gregorian) . [Note: From this point forward, and as previously denoted, all dates will be given in Gregorian even though they will not be annotated as such. Also, in Hebrew reckoning, part of a day is counted as a whole day. Therefore, in our calculation, 3/3/444 B.C. was day one. This principle of inclusive reckoning will also be applied to all date calculations here in.]
So the 69 weeks ended on March 27, 33 A.D. What happened on March 27, 33 A.D.? That was Palm Sunday when Jesus Christ presented Himself as the Messiah and King of the Jews to the Jewish people and to the world—just as the prophecy foretold what would happen at the end of the 69 weeks. That fulfilled prophecy speaks significantly of the validity of the fact that Jesus was the Messiah, and that the Bible truly is God’s Word.

  2. i wrote a rather large comment for you but evidently it was larger than 4000 characters so it was too large. so ill just leave you this link that while not being 100% accurate does have a good bit of the basics and eliminates many logical fallacies that i see presented as truth in these matters. hopefully it will help :)

  3. Hi William,

I read your treatise and/or blog on the 70 weeks and the pesach week.

I wished I had read them before.

I found them to be quite interesting and am still metabolizing what you said. It's a very profound timeline. You truly are a mathematician.

Although, I have never questioned the narrative, since I was saved, there are some statements that can look contradictory. You present a very cogent and well researched week summary, that only God could have told you through your diligence.

Alas, all things will eventually be explained.

I do know some salient points. Jesus and the 153 fish. What does it mean? 153 nations, 153 fish.

Joshua tells us what elect means. Jesus tells us who the elect are. Paul, well, he tells even more, but I think perhaps his explanation confuses many. Jesus give us the 4 types of people; and upon reflection, it the easiest to understand, once you are saved.

When God calls you. Respond and stay the course. That is election in a nutshell.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you for that 2011 blog. It must have taken many, many hours of thought before penning your explanation/timeline of events that took place circa 2000 years ago. What a sad and glorious week, all in one.

    Happy Easter and God speed.

    1. Thanks for your comment. Yes it was a sad and glorious week. I believe God gave me the info and showed me those things. My undergrad was Mathematics. As far as 153, I heard but have not verified that Jesus had 153 encounters with people listed in the NT. The timing of all the events in 33 AD is a strong witness and then throw in the possible planet X passage they may have caused the pole shift and realize the next time Jesus appears will be at Seal 6 another possible planet x passage.

  4. William.....The ancient 360 day orbit of the earth around the sun AND the 30 day orbit of the moon around the earth was how our solar system was designed and set up by God. As you mentioned, something catastrophic happened 700-800 BC that changed the harmony of this.

This has been a very deep rabbit hole for myself the last two years. I came across a book called "Catastrophism and the Old Testament" that made my jaw keep dropping as I read its brilliant outlay what happened, and it was backed with ancient writings in the "Iliad" and other writings.

In a nutshell, the planet mars used to have an elliptical orbit that brought it inside earths orbit. The asteroid belt was a catastrophic collision with mars which changed its orbit into an elliptical one. The asteroid belt was the remains of a planet that used to be between mars and jupiter.

I am just butchering my post trying to say it in brevity. It would take me two weeks of posts to explain what this book showed to me. It clears up why earth had its orbit radius increased, which increased our year from 360 days to 365.24 days and our moons orbit moving closer to the earth and decreasing its orbit from 30 days to 29.53 days. Mars two moons are deimos and phobus....and were first discovered in 1877 with the invention of the telescope. My big question is why do ancient greek writings mention the two moons of mars , and in detail, when we could not see them until 1877? Answer...because mars was in an elliptical orbit then and we could see mars and its two moons as its orbit brought it close to earth as mars elliptical orbit brought it closer to the sun. The book explains how several stories in the bible had heavenly sights ....andI will never look at mars the same again. My post is just a lame tease....and I strongly recommend the book.

    1. I have run across that theory in the past but never investigated. I have also heard that a possible planet X passage was involved an all of that.

Some deny the prophetic importance of the 360 day year, it is easy to see in Genesis and Revelation with 1260 days and 2520 days.
