Do you remember the game of Clue? In this game the players
are given a bunch of clues and they have to figure out who did it. Suspects are
eliminated from the list by seeing if any of the facts about them eliminate the
possibility of them doing the crime. For instance if Colonel Mustard was in the
library and the crime was committed in the dining room, then you know it could
not have been him.
As Sherlock Holmes put it; “If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how
improbable, must be the truth…”
