DeleteTo tell the truth I do not like at all his musik as well as all the musik made since at least the end of XIXe century but despite that I must admit that he had many very clever and prophetic quotes. You could find several very interesting interviews (I think especially to one of them about US education)
DeleteI would say, according to his biography that he was serving the truth. It seems that you could not know who he was really behind his look.
My favourite quote from him: “The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
He died in 1993...
