A Good Friday Fish Tale

In honor of Good Friday and on a lighter note; someone I know caught a large striped bass and made it into a movie with a gospel presentation. Thought you might enjoy watching it, and if you know of any sportsmen out there, you could send them the link—it would be a great way to get the gospel to them.

  1. That was great, William! And fortunately for us, the Lord doesn't catch and release!

  2. William, you do realize our savior WAS NOT crucified on Friday!

Mat 12:40  For just as Yonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea-monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the depths of the earth.

You cannot get 3 (full) days and 3 (full) nights from a Friday to a Sunday! And, the story goes that he was raised on Sunday (Easter) morning!

So, with a Friday crucifixion you have Friday night, Saturday Day, Saturday night, then Sunday morning he raised from the dead! Does that not add to just 2 nights and 1 day?? Even the malarkey of any part/portion of a day or night counts for a full day just doesn't work! Don't you think when he said 3 days and 3 nights he meant just that?

Therefore, "Good Friday" is a bunch of Bologna! And the Christian church teaches it and professes it. :(

    1. Do a little research. In Hebrew time reckoning any part of a day can be counted as a whole day. So parts of Friday, Sat and Sun would be 3 days. This is a well established fact. See this article.

    2. It is an invention of the roman system. Any who have been "educated" in the seminary's have had this Jesuit theology handed to them.

    3. @Jeff and Anonymous: I totally agree with you.
Sorry dear William. It's not about bashing but it's about research of truth! False jews (not all Jews but those described in Revelations 2:9)+ freemasons + Jesuits are synagogues of Satan. And what we only know about "the Bible" is what those satanic guys allowed to be printed by Gutenberg and followers from Texts that Luther got in his times from the same ones'...

    4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. MT 4:4

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Lk 4:4

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. LK 11:28

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. JN 8:47

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:17

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Pet 1:23

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1 Jn 2:5

    5. BTW; does it not make sense that the creator God who made the universe would be able to preserve His Word that all men will be accountable to?

    6. When Jesus speaks about "what is written", He is ONLY refering to jewish TORAH which is more or less our "Ancient Testament". When He is saying "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." (Matt 5:18), again He is refering to the Law given by God through Moses:The TORAH! Think about it dear William.
When we see all what God allowed Satan to do on that earth... You can believe what you want but there is no guarantee that God decided to "preserve His Word" throught the New Testament. But it's very practical for those who made falsifications and fakes to spread that belief among believers...

    7. Dear Phil to reject God's Word the Bible is to reject God--be very careful about what you believe and teach it has eternal consequences.

    8. ..."to reject God's Word the Bible is to reject God..." Are you sure it's God Who said that? I am not.. In fact I think it's the founding fathers of the catholic church and then the Popes.. But as I can understand, you are rejecting the Pope and the catholicism...
BTW, May I remind you that the founding fathers of the catholic church "built" the Bible by selecting those 66 books during Nicea in 325 and later, and rejecting many others like the Book of Enoch. But you are sometimes refering to the Book of Enoch as God's Word, aren't you?

    9. Primarily when the term “Scripture(s)” is found in the New Testament it is used in reference to the Old Testament. In fact, 52 times one can read the word “Scripture(s)” in the King James translation of New Testament, and nearly every time it is referring only to the Old Testament. However, at least two times this term is used when referring to both the Old Testament and the writings that eventually would become the New Testament. For example, Paul quoted Luke 10:7 as “Scripture” in his first epistle to Timothy (5:18). And in 2 Peter 3:16, Peter placed Paul’s letters on a par with the Old Testament Scriptures when he compared them to “the rest of the Scriptures.” Thus, it is incorrect to say that the New Testament does not claim inspiration for itself.

  3. So William, you do realize that the days began and ended at evening/sunset. So Yeshua died about 3pm in the afternoon on Passover. Joseph of Arimathaea at almost evening approached Pilot and requested the body. The body was then wrapped placed in the tomb and a stone was rolled over the entrance.

Mat 27:57  Towards evening, there came a wealthy man from Ramatayim named Yosef, who was himself a talmid of Yeshua.

So, if your comment of Hebrew time reckoning is true, then I would assume they got the body in the grave and covered as the sun went down.

Day 1 Friday was only a few minutes right at sundown. (Or, maybe it is intended that was day and night 1)
    Night 1 all Friday night.
    Day 2 all Saturday.
    Night 2 Saturday Night.
(He arose on Sunday morning so the tale goes)
Day 3 and Night 3 were all encapsulated in a Sunday morning?

As I write this out it doesn't even work because a day starts at evening. So, since he was in the grave right at evening it was right at the beginning day/night 1 Friday evening to Saturday evening.

So, William, many years ago I did do my research. Passover at the Crucifixion was on a Wednesday. That is the only day that will work. (Wednesday April 28, 28 CE, after an Adar Bet 13th month the year before so the Barley could become ripe.)
Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening Passover,
Last Supper Tuesday evening, that night arrested, tried, flogging crucified at 9 am on Wednesday morning.
Darkness over the land from 12 noon to 3 pm.
    He dies @ 3pm
Placed in Tomb just before sunset
Wednesday evening to Thursday evening - Day/Night 1
(note: the start of this day is the beginning of a Sabbath day, 1st day of unleavened bread)
Thursday evening to Friday evening - Day/Night 2
Friday evening to Saturday evening - Day/Night 3
He was raised from the dead right at sunset when the preists were putting the sicikle to the barley that would be first fruits for that new year, which Yeshua was the first fruits from among the dead. He went before the father Sunday morning to waive himself as the first fruits at the same time the priests in the Temple were waiving the first fruits of the Barley harvest. They Hebrews had practiced this for over 1,000 years and the Father did exactly as he had set up at his appointed times and our savior was our first fruits from among the dead leading the way to our salvation from among the dead.

So, again as I stated previously and the gentlemen above confirmed, "Good Friday" is a bunch of bologna.

    1. Sorry but you are wrong, part of Friday, All Saturday, and part of Sunday = 3 days. Read the linked article, there can be no other time except Friday 33 AD.

    2. I did read your article. What is the timing of your days in your article? Midnight to Midnight? And, when does your biblical year begin?

Passover day is preparation day when you rid your house of leaven and the lamb was sacrificed @ 3Pm in the afternoon (the exact time Yeshua died). Then the lamb was cooked according to the instructions in Leviticus. It is then eaten that evening (Passover Sedar), the beginning of the next day (just like the Exodus). Unleavened Bread did not start till the next day, starting that evening, which would be the end of Passover and the beginning of unleavened bread (Passover is first and then is unleavened bread). Yeshua did not eat the Passover Sedar with his diciples because he was already crucified! The last Supper was not the Passover Sedar. And he did not change anything and eat it the evening before the appointed time, your article addresses that. Yeshua was the sacrificial lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Therefore, he was sacrificed on Passover as had been the custom for over a thousand years.

So in your scenario, which is Christianity's point of view, you have a few minutes that counts for the first day/night, one whole day for the second day/night, and then a few minutes for the third day/night,considering he rose Saturday evening as was the tradition of the priests harvesting the first fruits of the Barley that year. Not very long for 3 days and 3 nights. Yeshua was a representation of the Festival/appointed time of First Fruits that the Father had instituted as they entered the Promised Land. Its not random and the Israelits had been prepared for a long time. He actually rose immediately after the end of the Sabbath (7th) day, Saturday evening. All was complete for the sacrifice for sins. And as I know you are aware, the number 7 is finality.

So, Sorry but your are wrong! You have taken the wrong teaching hook, line and sinker.

    3. This chart should answer your question about the timing of the days.

  4. Oh, and most importantly, after the crucifixion the next day was a Sabbath. Yes true! But it was not the weekly Sabbath. The First day of Unleavened Bread is a High Sabbath. It does not matter what day the Passover falls, the next day is always a High Sabbath. So, that makes your scenario problematic assuming that the next day was the weekly Sabbath.

    1. So 14 Nisan was a Wednesday...15 Nisan a Thursday Sabbath)...following day Friday 16 Nisan normal day so the women could go to buy spices to embalm the body of Christ... next day Satursday 17 Nisan normal sabbath so the women couldn't ho to the grave...abd had to wait till the next day in the morning Sunday 18 Nisan where they discovered the empty grave...
If this is true so we are in fact in 2023... think about it

    2. Just to add: the women couldn't go immediatly to embalm the body of Christ on friday 16 Nisan because according to the Torah you become unclean until dusk when you touch a dead. So they needed to enter the "normal sabbath" of satursday 17 Nisan without touching the body of Christ. That's why they had to wait till the sunday morning 18 Nisan to do so..
