That's all folks! The antichrist as a single person is a deception and Satan is trying to get you to focus out there in the future so you miss what is happening in the present. There is no time stated for the length of the great tribulation. Daniel's 70 th week followed the 69th week in the natural. In the spiritual is a different matter as it is broken down 7 ,62,1 for the 70 weeks. The 2nd coming measured in jubilees. Best to not worry about the antichrist, keep eyes on Jesus and you won't go wrong. He might return any day. If you were to take it literally, There would be 7 headed monsters and frogs and locusts. If you take the literal measurement if the temple in revelation it wouldn't fit in Israel. BTW in January 2013, I saw (in the spirit)the abomination of desolation standing in the Temple and he flipped over a card he was holding that had written on it the "empty set" sign. He was definitely proclaiming himself to be god. God seeks worshippers who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Literal is for carnal men who try to connect the dots. They want control. No need to speculate about it.

The pagan ways of the Romans were an abomination to the Jews. The Romans were their enemy.

Luke records that Jesus said that the Jews would die by the sword and be taken as slaves. Josephus documents that 100's of thousands of Jews died by the Roman sword and 97,000 were taken captive to be sold as slaves.

False prophets told the Jews that God would save them from the Romans, which didn't happen. So instead of surrendering to the Roman army, they resisted and were killed.

Jesus message was to those who were in Judea, not the whole world.

Jesus said that the event could happen on the Sabbath, which would have impeded the early church because the Jewish leaders laws, but it doesn't affect us today.

Jesus said there would be great tribulation.

100's of thousands died from famine, disease and infighting.
Dead bodies lied in the temple area.
10's of thousands were crucified when they snuck out at night to try to find food outside the city walls.
Nobody buried these bodies for fear of being killed, so there were 100's of thousands of dead bodies out in the open.
Then the Roman army killed 100's of thousands by the sword.

Sounds like a time of great tribulation to me.

Yet no Christian was killed, because they saw the Roman army under Cestius surround the holy city, standing where it should not. When the army retreated for no reason (other than the hand of God), the Christians made their escape.

History clearly explains the fulfillment of Jesus words.

So to say that none of Jesus prophecy in the Olivet Discourse has taken place is out of context.

Merry Christmas to you! 2014 is going to be very interesting indeed!
Davidhttp://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/daniel-12-prophecy-deception/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7263642883069970148.post-72610922497762348862013-12-23T22:00:07.037-05:002013-12-23T22:00:07.037-05:00El Hasan of Jordan still seems like most logical c...El Hasan of Jordan still seems like most logical candidate for the man of perdition. Simple as that.

As for the "abomination of desolation." it was the Roman army (who was an abomination to the Jews because of their pagan ways) that stood in the holy place of Jerusalem, who then desolated the temple, city and Jews.

Daniel 9:26-27 foretold that people would come against Jerusalem to desolate it.

In Luke 19:41-44, Jesus said, “Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies (the Romans) will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

They should have known Daniel's 70 week prophecy to know exactly when the Messiah would appear.

The Parable of the Wedding Feast foretold that Jesus would send an army to destroy the Jews and Jerusalem, because they reject Him as their Messiah.

Matthew 22:7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.”

Jesus words in Matthew 23 confirm that this would occur within this generation, "Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Luke 21:20-21 gives the definition of what the abomination of desolation is, as it is the corresponding passage to Matthew 24:15. “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.”

Luke 21:24 confirms that this section of Jesus Olivet Discourse would be fulfilled in 70 A.D., not in the end times.

“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations."

So let's look at the fulfillment of the abomination of desolation...

In 66 A.D., the Roman army led by Cestius surrounded the city, which was the “abomination of desolation” that Jesus warned the disciples about. All of the city would have seen this.

The historian Josephus says that Cestius then suddenly left the city for no reason. It was the hand of God. This happened because Jesus promised His disciples a way of escape, and they fled to Pella. Josephus did not record one death of a Christian at the hands of the Romans.

Then Titus led his army to surround Jerusalem, where they camped for 1,260 days.

During that time 100's of thousands of Jews died from infighting, famine and disease.

Then in 70 A.D., the Romans flooded the city and killed 100's of thousands of Jews by the sword, and 97,000 were taken and sold as slaves, fulfilling Daniel 9:26-27, and Luke 21:24

So the prophecy of the abomination of desolation has already been fulfilled.

You can read the whole study and the study on the fulfillment of Daniel 12 at http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/Davidhttp://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7263642883069970148.post-8542199659713023522013-12-22T01:37:32.438-05:002013-12-22T01:37:32.438-05:00Hi William,

No

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”

Is the temple in Ephesians 2:19-22 a literal temple? Yes, for God's Word declares that we collectively form a holy temple in the Lord.
Is it a literal building that you can walk into? No

”Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

So the temple of God is both literal and spiritual.

The Pope is the Son of Perdition, who sits in a literal temple in the Vatican, and in the spiritual temple, proclaiming to be Christian.

And as Daniel 7:8 foretold, he speaks pompous words.

Pope Innocent III said “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.”

Pope John Paul II said “Don’t go to God for forgiveness of sins: come to me.”

As for the Antichrist...

Antichrist doesn't just mean "against Christ." It can also mean "in place of Christ."

The Pope proclaims to be the "Vicar of Christ," which means "substitute for Christ."

Pope Pius IX said “I alone… am the successor of the apostles, the vicar of Jesus Christ. I am the way, the truth, and the life…”

The word ‘antichristos’ is the Greek word for Antichrist. Translated into English it means "Vicar of Christ", which the Pope has claimed as his title.

In 1303 A.D. Pope Boniface VIII said in his infamous Bull ‘Unam Sanctam’, “We declare, assert, define and pronounce to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every creature altogether necessary for salvation… I have the authority of the King of Kings. I am all in all, and above all, so that God Himself and I, the Vicar of Christ, have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. What therefore, can you make of me but God?”

Vicar of Christ in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, which equates numerically to the number 666.

Revelation 13:18 tells us “Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

The beast is the Roman Catholic Church. The man is the Pope.

Please read http://romancatholicbeliefs.org to see all of the Bible verses that talk about the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope.Davidhttp://romancatholicbeliefs.orgnoreply@blogger.com
