The Game of Rapture Clue; Guess Who Wins?

Do you remember the game of Clue? In this game the players are given a bunch of clues and they have to figure out who did it. Suspects are eliminated from the list by seeing if any of the facts about them eliminate the possibility of them doing the crime. For instance if Colonel Mustard was in the library and the crime was committed in the dining room, then you know it could not have been him.

As Sherlock Holmes put it; “If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth…

If you follow that logic and examine the chart below comparing several different rapture theories and how they measure up to end times Biblical principles, you will eliminate the impossible and see the theory that “must be the truth.”

  1. This is a good chart to show the possible. I think a lot of us do not really understand "God's wrath" and what that will be like.

    1. God's wrath is when the Lion comes to fight last battle against humanity in the Armageddon valley. we won't suffer that but we will suffer all tribulation that comes before that. that's my opinion

    2. That is not what the Word of God tells us. It says God's wrath begins after the opening of Seal 6.

      12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

      13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

      14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

      15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

      16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

      17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

  2. How would you explain 2 Thes. 2 where it states that the restrainer will have to be removed before the lawless one is revealed. Does this not mean that the church must be raptured before the anti-christ is revealed?

  3. This topic is covered in depth in Chapter 4 of The Coming Epiphany--link at sidebar. Here is the beginning of it.

    Identifying the Restrainer

    Yet another argument put forth by pre-trib adherents is that they say that the Holy Spirit is removed before the antichrist is revealed; and since the Holy Spirit indwells Christians, they will be removed also. They draw this conclusion from 2 Thessalonians 2:6–7: “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” They have made the assumption that it is the Holy Spirit who is the restrainer and that when He is removed—and Christians with Him—the antichrist will be revealed.

    This is an incorrect assumption, for the Holy Spirit is recorded as still being on the earth indwelling believers during the last days of the 70th Week. This is clearly evident in Joel 2:...

  4. "Christians are removed out of the midst of the great tribulation"
    Where is this fact?

    I was just reading through revelation and I came to Rev 7:14, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation"

    Sounds like Christians will go through the "great tribulation" (but not the wrath, which is after the six seal is opened). Unless I'm reading it wrong :P

    Can you shed some light?

    1. Good question; the great tribulation starts after the opening of Seal 5. After this Seal is opened no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark. This is when Jews and Christians will be persecuted and this will be part of the war that the antichrist rages against Jews and Christians.

      Christians will be rescued out of this persecution after the opening of Seal 6/rapture. Jews who have not accepted the Lord as Savior will have to continue through the rest of the 7 years still under this great tribulation.

      Also anyone who did not take the mark but were not Christians and were not raptured will also have to live under this tribulation to the end.

    2. Here is an excerpt from The Coming Epiphany that touches on this.

      Another phrase in Revelation 3:10 that we need to consider is “will keep thee from.” The Greek phrase used here is tereo ek. Van Kampen has this to say about that phrase:

      Tereo ek, is used in conjunction, can only refer to guarding or protecting those who persevere while they are within the sphere of danger, and then bringing them safely out from the midst of that danger. Thus the meaning of the text is clear. Tereo ek should be translated, “a watchful protection within the sphere of danger, with a safe deliverance out from the midst of it.

      Combining the analysis of the Greek into a translation of Revelation 3:10 yields a rendering that shows that the Christian will not be spared from the great tribulation, but will be rescued out of it:

      Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will rescue you out of the midst of the hour of satan’s temptation, the great tribulation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

    3. Are you saying God is going to beat His bride before He takes her please help me understand that

      Delete
    4. How ridiculous. God allowing Christians to go through persecution is not beating His bride how dare you accuse God of that. Christians have undergone tribulation throughout the ages. How about Stephen who was stoned for his faith, was God beating His bride?

      God has allowed Christians to undergo tribulation for the purpose of purifying His bride, not beating them. And let me tell you that there are a lot of Christians in America who need purifying!

      Christians will undergo tribulations but not God's wrath. We will be delivered out of the Great tribulation after the opening of Seal 6 before God's wrath starts.

      If you reject those truths and enter those times unprepared you will be the one that suffers.

    5. Im not accusing God betting His bride. Im accusing you for teaching it did you purify your wife before married her. Jesus died on cross and said it was finished. How much works do have to be saved? And no i wont be unprepared because i have Jesus thats all i need.

    6. Oh, but you are, When I tell you that God at times let's Christians go through tribulations and you equate that with me saying that God is beating His bride then in effect you are saying God is doing it.

      These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jn 16:33

      Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

      And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Rom 5:3

      And here is what Jesus does to His bride.

      That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

      27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. EPH 5:26,7

      Yes the payment for our sins was made at the cross and works do not save you.

      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

      9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

      We are not talking about salvation, we are talking about preparing for the coming tribulations.

      If a hurricane were coming your way would you prepare and take defensive actions or would you sit on your porch and say "i wont be unprepared because i have Jesus thats all i need?"

    7. Hello brother;
      First time to your site. I also research and write on the error of the pre-trib theory.

      One thing I find remarkable is that most pre-trib promoters don't even know their own theory. They say Jesus would be a wife beater to let his bride go thru the tribulation, but fail to realize their theory says Israel is the elect bride of the Father. They have God's (supposed) wrath falling upon his elect bride. (which is error in itself as the tribulation is not God's wrath.)

      I have two free books and numerous blog articles which show the pre-trib rapture teaching to be a hoax.

      Blessings to you;

    9. How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out
      of it. I am with you and will save you,’ declares the LORD . ‘Though I completely destroy all the nations among
      which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only with justice; I will not let
      you go entirely unpunished.’ (Jeremiah 30:7,11) This is to Israel about the Great Tribulation no?

  5. Anonymous...

    William is not teaching that God is beating his bride...good grief.

    What is happening is the people that make up the bride are being selected out of many....like removing dross from silver....removing the scum, the most impure from the vat of silver.

    That vat of silver will be as pure as can be only after God removes the final last bit of dross from it.

  6. I accidently hit "Publish" before finishing my thought...sorry...

    But I was wanting to add that we as men purify so to speak, the women candidates we consider before taking one as our bride. We don't beat the one we choose to keep, but by dating, we do our best to remove the candidates that have the most dross, or impurities. We then refine our group down to we choose the one.

    God on the other hand is refining billions, and though none accepted will be worthy to enter Gods kingdom, this refinement process of removing the dross..(unrepentant)...narrows down Gods selection process for his bride.

    In Gods case, his bride will be pure once in heaven, pure as God... our individual chosen wife here on earth will have impurities just like her husband has.
