The False Prophets Abound!

There are many people on the internet claiming that God told them this or God told them that, etc. What is one to make of all these claims, are these people really hearing from God?
Well one easy way to evaluate if these people are speaking from God—just ask yourself the questions did what they say come to pass, or is what they are saying in agreement with scripture? If the answer is no to either of those questions, then they are a false prophet.
Here are a few words of God about false prophets.
14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Jer 14:14
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord. Jer 23
1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;
3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord God. Eze 13
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 Jn 4:1
A few times in the past I have included some of the words of these so called prophets as a prophecy news item for your consideration. I now realize this was a wrong choice. Furthermore because “many false prophets have gone out into the world,” I will no longer be featuring any of these “vain visions” of these so called prophets who “prophesy out of their own hearts”, and or are having deceiving spirits come upon them.
So again because “many false prophets have gone out into the world,” I will no longer be featuring any of these “vain visions” of these so called prophets who “prophesy out of their own hearts”, and or are having deceiving spirits come upon them. When the 2 witnesses show up right around the midpoint, if we still have internet access then, I will publish their words.

  1. In my opinion, many of the self appointed prophets out there are doing negative campaigning for the Lord. Too many think they are hesring the voice of the Lord, when it was just a fleeting thought going through their head.

Of course some actually do hear from the Lord, but many do not.

Praying for discernment helps me a lot as I litmus test prophesies.

If I started posting Jesus told me last night such and such....without ABSOLUTELY FOR CERTAIN it was the Lord speaking, I am going to stay mute about it.

Too many " I heard from the Lord" comments that pan out false hurt Christianity. I sound like I am throwing the baby out with the bath water, and often I have. We need to pray for discernment as we determine if its from the Lord or just emotional. Myself, I never have heard directly from the Lord, and if I did, I would not relay it unless it had extra strong evidence backing it. Often I have felt the Lords influence in many areas of my life, and I will share those quite often.

We are blessed with many actual prophesies that are from the Lord. Its the others that undermine these divine utterances.

    1. Right on Stan, If you think about it when these people say "Thus saith the Lord" in reality they are claiming that the words they are telling us are God's actual words. And if they are God's actual words then in effect they are putting those words on an equal footing with scripture.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

  2. Amen Mr. William. We are all works in progress. Your humility is precious. We know all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

  3. William,

Thank you for your integrity in posting that you will no longer publish these false claims. I have to admit, when I read the part where the girl said that Jesus changed His mind, I had a real problem with that. That alone told me that this was most likely not from the Lord. By the way, this FAZ stock has gone down and if people have money to buy silver right now, it is still fairly inexpensive. I say just buy the silver. You don't risk money on a stock first - that could lose - then hope to buy silver if it gains. If there is a reasonable amount of certainty that the precious metal will rise in a short time, and there is, just buy the metal directly! There is no question that we are on the edge of the cliff financially as a nation and it is wise to do all you can to prepare. In my humble opinion, should Jesus tarry longer than we expect, the whole condition of our way of life will affect Christians just like anyone else. The absolute best preparation is to get right with Jesus and have Him strengthen what cannot be shaken, because as He promised, He will shake all that can be shaken so that only that which cannot be shaken will remain. I've read many preparation blogs and websites, and some have good information. But those in cities may not fare as well as those in the countryside. We all cannot have gardens and even a small flowerbox garden is not enough to keep you going for too long. God help us all as we move forward. I have been meditating on the fact that David says in Psalms that the length of a mans life is threescore and ten (70 years). If that is translated into a generation, then add 70 to 1948, the year Israel became a nation. It comes out to 2018. That's not too far away. Jesus talked about a generation that would not pass until all things were fulfilled. I am getting more inclined to believe that we are that generation. It won't be long now. We don't need to be prophets to see it. Even secular people sense that big things and changes are coming. I am always anxious to see your posts and while I do not agree with everything, I do agree with much. We need watchers. I've been a hunter in the woods and sometimes when you look in the distance you feel certain that you see something. Sometimes you are right and sometimes it was just a mirage or false image. Its the heart of anticipation that is expressing itself. So keep up the good fight and continue to show the courage you express on this blog.

    1. Thanks for your comments and encouragement, they are appreciated, and I agree with you that precious metals are the first financial priority. Some Jews were able to escape Germany because they had gold and silver.

I hunt too and one time in the low light I thought I saw a huge buck--adrenalin got going, as the light came it was just some vegetation.

  4. Christians are under attack from all sides right now brother. Days are getting longer and the war is getting harder. God Bless and thank you for your ministry.

  5. William- As an avid deer hunter myself, your buck adrenalin perspective so fits. You and I as hunters "expect" a deer to come along...and "believe" one will. Our senses are on high alert for the signs of one coming along. Whether its hearing twigs snapping, slight movement detected, squirrels barking their displeasure with the deer in their territory...we await with anticipation and faith.

The same happens to us being believers in Christ's return. Our senses are on heightened alert as we know Christ will be coming down his arrival trail. We see subtle and blatantly obvious signs of this. We ,just like hunters can, get extra anxious and hear and see things that soon pass as something else, but we stay on guard KNOWING we will be rewarded with actual twigs breaking of a deer as it unmistakably appears out of its shadows...likewise twigs breaking ahead of Christs arrival verifies signs of his coming, and then Christ will appear coming out of a cloud. We will be ready as a hunter is, except we Christians will be the ones harvested!

  6. This stand you are taking is a biblical one. Thanks for your courage and reliance on the authority of His Word, rather than the "prophecies" of man.
