The Declaration of Repentance



Two centuries, one score, and 17 years ago the United States declared its independence from the political servitude of its mother country, England. I declare that America is once again in servitude, but this time to satan and his vices. For this, America, judgment is coming upon our land!

America we must repent! The stench of our sins has reached unto heaven. We have crossed many “red lines;” The killing of the innocents, the destruction of the traditional family, the mistreatment of Israel, the blatant witchcraft, the sexual perversions, the raw sewage flowing out of the cesspool of Hollywood, on and on the list goes. America we are in bondage to sin and deserve judgment! We are shaking our fist in God’s face and we have experienced God’s judgments, will continue to receive judgments, and they will get worse, lest we repent.

What are some of the judgments that I and others foresee will befall America in the near future, lest we repent? Riots, collapse of the dollar, fires, droughts, floods, food shortages, severe earthquakes, more severe “natural” disasters, cosmic catastrophes, tsunamis, terrorist actions, pandemics, and nuclear attacks.

Is this what you want America? It is not what I and many others in this land want, we do not want to see people suffer and die. It is not too late, I believe these judgments can be turned away from us, if we repent. With this purpose in mind I am putting forth a Declaration of Repentance, which is based on several scripture passages and some of the phrases in the Declaration of Independence. Join with me in praying this Declaration of Repentance for America.

The Declaration of Repentance

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for a country to pray unto the Lord our God, and make our confession, we say, “O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love Him, and to them that keep His commandments; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Thy precepts and from Thy judgments:  Neither have we hearkened unto Thy servants, which spake in Thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto Thee, but unto us, the people of America, shame, because of our trespass that we have trespassed against Thee. O Lord, to us belongeth shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee.

Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us in His Holy Word. Yea, all America have transgressed Thy law, even by departing from Thee, that we have not obeyed Thy voice; therefore the curse is and will continue to be poured upon us, because we have sinned against Him.

And He hath confirmed his words, which He spake against us, and many evils have come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Thy truth. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him; Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all His works which He doeth: for we obeyed not His voice; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

O Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, I beseech Thee, let Thine anger and Thy fury be turned away from America, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers. Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; Let Your compassion come quickly to meet us, For we are brought very low.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us and forgive our sins for Your name’s sake. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of Thy servant, and his supplications, and cause Thy face to shine upon this land and bring a great revival for Thy glory and for Thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for Thine own sake, O my God, Amen.”

We, therefore, the people of the united States of America, by this prayer, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, solemnly publish and declare, that America is guilty of sin, and hereby repent, and for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor to obey and follow the commandments of the Lord.

And by this prayer may many repent of their sins in America, and may we dissolve the bands of spiritual bondage upon this land, which have destroyed many, and that many may have the opportunity to pursue Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness; unalienable rights endowed by our Creator—the Lord Jesus Christ—for He has come that we might have life and have it abundantly.

I hope you become a “signer” of this Declaration of Repentance for America by earnestly praying the Declaration to the Lord.

Have you declared your repentance to the Lord for your own sins and entered into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus; are you experiencing the abundant life Jesus promised? If you would like to enter into a relationship with the Lord Jesus, you must realize that;

1. We are sinners. As the Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Sin is falling short of God’s perfection. Everyone has sinned many times in life. We have all lied, or stolen, or cheated, or done something wrong at some time in our lives. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10).

2. We deserve Hell. Realize that there is a punishment for being a sinner, and that punishment is death. “For the wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23). Not only a physical death, but also a spiritual death. The place of spiritual death is called Hell. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Rom. 21:8). There is probably no person alive who can say that they never told a lie. We all have sinned and we all deserve the punishment of Hell for our sin.

3. Jesus died for our sins.But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). Jesus willingly went to the cross, shed His blood, and died for our sins. He paid the price for our sins. He suffered the punishment that we deserve. When He was on the cross, Jesus suffered Hell for us. Hell is a place of total separation from God. When Jesus was on the cross, God the Father separated Himself from God the Son. That is why Jesus cried out “with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Jesus was experiencing separation from God the Father. He was suffering the Hell that we deserve. He was paying for our sins.

4. We must receive Christ by faith. In order to become a Christian, it is not enough to know that we are sinners, that we deserve Hell, and that Christ died for our sins, but we must receive Christ by faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph 2:8,9).

Notice that we cannot earn our way to heaven. We obtain salvation through faith, not by works. Faith basically boils down to placing your trust in something or someone. If you are sitting down while reading this, you are placing your faith or trust in the chair that you are sitting upon. Faith requires more than just an intellectual belief; it involves an action of your will. For example, if there were a pond covered with ice, and there were people standing around saying that the ice could hold them up, but they were not willing to walk on the ice, then they would only be demonstrating an intellectual belief and not faith. If they stepped out onto the ice, they would be demonstrating faith.

One can place their faith in Christ by simply calling out to Him in prayer, for the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I expressed faith in Christ by sincerely praying a prayer like this:

Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I deserve Hell. Thank you for dying for my sins. Save me. Come into my life. Make me the kind of person that you want me to be. I thank you that you have and that you will take me to heaven when I die. Amen.”

If you sincerely pray that prayer with all your heart, then the Lord Jesus will come into your life and forgive your sins, and save you from an eternity of Hell. If you were to die tomorrow, you would go to heaven. Not because you are good enough to get there, but because you have received the payment of your sins. It is that simple. This is where repentance starts—by receiving the Love of God.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (Jn 5:24)
